Woman documents final five months with her husband in emotional videos and photographs as he is deported from the US back to his native Bangladesh
A Kansas woman whose marriage has been ripped apart by her husband's deportation has documented her journey of saying goodbye to the love of her life.
Madina Salaty, 45, married Zunu Zunaid, 37, in 2011.
When they met at a bar in Lawrence he told her he was trying to fight a deportation order.
Zunaid, from Bangladesh, moved to Kansas on a student visa in 1994 to study petroleum engineering, according to The Washington Post...
However during junior year, his rather ran out of money and stopped paying his tuition.
Zunaid dropped out school and started working at Best Buy, where he eventually earned a salary of nearly $60,000 a year.
He had overstayed his visa by 15 years when, in 2009, he was pulled over for a DUI.
He was investigated and the slow process of being deported had started.

The insane evil clown hypocrite criminals
torturing us running the government just took an awesome, hard-working fellow slave off the oars, while they're allowing thousands of useless South American barnicles to pour into the country to attach themselves to the handle of YOUR oar.
Bandage up your bleeding hands, and put your back into your oars, peasants! Uncle Sham needs moar money for his scams and Ponzi schemes!
As if you people don't have immigration problems of your own.
Besides, nobody's stopping her from going with him.
I couldn’t figure out what “dep” meant, so I judged the story’s content by the rest of the title, and I figured this had to do with someone having a terminal illness. Turns out, it’s criminals whining about getting their due punishment. Figures.
Wish she would. No doubt she’s on welfare.
From what is written here he might be a person you’d like to keep instead of millions of useless gangbangers.
DREAM Act Activist: ‘Obviously, the Border Is Secure’
He was a taxpayer. He was on an oar right next to you.
Guess you're OK with paying the freight for the thousands of illegal children pouring across the border?
ZZZZ - another family “ripped apart” story. Don’t marry an illegal alien if you can’t go back home with him when he eventually gets caught.
Actually, from the article, she's got a good job, and she's taking care of her mother.
It's her GOVERNMENT that is a crowd of insane lying criminals.
Welcome to FR. We need more open-minded, bleeding heart libertarians. We’ll straighten you out ...
and he never bothered to try and become legal?
and this isn’t his own fault, how?
oh boo friction’ hoo.... I get so tired of all these border jumpers who complain when they are caught and sent home. THEY ARE ILLEGAL.....
In fact I think we ought to just ship all of them to the new caliphate and let them handle the immigrants
PS I’ll bet you cancel your Reason subscription by Labor Day.
Guess you haven't noticed that IT DEPENDS if you get sent back home, because "the law" is in the mouth of the government.
Sort of like how the law in England was in King John's mouth, just before he was forced to sign the Magna Carta.
Well, that teaches me to read the article. :P Although I don’t understand how someone who works hard and follows the law could stomach someone else not doing so.
The American government is wiping their greasy, lying, criminal hypocritical @zz on your peasant faces DAILY with their "the immigration law is in my mouth" schtick, and you're all going off on a PRODUCTIVE illegal.
You can't make this up. ROFL!
You could hang the Feds with their own rope on this by making them answer questions about WHY this particular guy, and not the other 30,000 kids they firehosed across the border.
I swear, THIS is how they're getting away with "rule by anecdote". No one seems to understand that an anecdote is merely a data point, and not the entire world.
I'm against all illegals, also.
I just posted this as an illustration of the sociopath nutbags who are running the government.
This is in the same vein as the "Department of Corrections", which is all about "rehabilitation", until a prisoner escapes for 30-40 years, and rehabilitates themselves. Then, it becomes all about "punishment". See how that little trick works?
Or how the lIeRS is all about record-keeping, until it comes time for THEM to keep records. Then, it's "complicated" and "their hard-drive crashed".
Or how the INS simply "can't cope" with the tens of thousands of illegal kids they encouraged to crash the border, but they're ALL OVER this one dude in Kansas, like white on rice.
I didn’t mean to run you off! Come back and help krylndle out, (or however the heck it’s spelled).
Are they sending the tens of thousands of border-jumping children home, or is this guy just an "eeny, meeny, miny, moe" guy?
The adcriministration is sticking the tens of thousands of future gangbangers right in our face, and laughing about it.
And tumblin is all worried about his/her libertarian enemas...
“I’m against all illegals also.”
Ok. He was illegal. Now he’s gone.
We can move on now.
Everything else in your posts is hyperbolic, pure BS, libertarian rationalization.
I’m far less a statist than you.
Welcome to FR.
I take it you're OK with the selective "law enfarcement" practiced by our Royal masters in Thievington, DC...
I'm fascinated. You're apparently OK with paying a salary to the Inspector Javert who efficiently put the arm on this guy, but who can't seem to find an illegal child in sight anywhere, while stumbling and tripping over TENS OF THOUSANDS of them.
To paraphrase Trotsky: "You may not be interested in their selective enforcement of the law, but their selective enforcement of the law is interested in YOU."
Don't mind those other guys. ;-)
There you go with the negative hyperbolic waves again.
You seem really exercised over this illegal alien getting caught and booted.
He had, gee—how long to exhaust his legal appeals? Years? And he had, three lawyers?
He got due process, substantive and procedural. That’s the law, like it or not.
These central American kids, possibly lured by Obama & Co., got here, what—last week? I
So if we haven’t deported all of them, we shouldn’t deport this sad sack? Your eloquence escapes me, your logic ties me up and rrrrapes me. And you’re “fascinated” and citing Trotsky. “Peasants” and all that stuff. Heh.
You’re a real trip kiryandil. Are you a chick?
Kyriandil is right on.
It is not that I’m a supporter for a guy, but why him? Why not the others in the first place, who has no jobs and aren’t taxpayers?
The seems to be an issue of prioritizing who gets deported first. Should gang-bangers be last on the deportation list?
LOL! You're a real Oddball, tumblin.
I'm a Declarationist, not a libertarian. You should try it sometime.
Declarationists get their backs up when their Lordships start selectively enfarcing the law, and they don't get caught up in the rote bleatings of "Thats the law, like it or not".
Billy Clinton perjured himself in front of God and everybody. Refresh my memory - did he go to prisum, because "Thats the law, like it or not"? Not in a tyranny, he didn't...
Youre a real trip kiryandil. Are you a chick?
Nyet. But I'm guessing YOUR personal attributes favor the Gheyboy-In-Chief. LOL! :)
No, it's an issue of actually enforcing the law.
Which they ain't. So, in a Declarationist's mind, it's tyranny, plain and simple.
Hey - "Man's Country" started in with me, first. I was playing like a good little Declarationist when I was accused of the heinous crime of Libertarianism On The High Seas.
Really? Seems like the spat concerns gang-bangers, Zunaid, and the preference of one over the other — a contrast indicated by the noob @ post #5.
She could have gone with him
Why didn’t she move home with him?
He broke more than one of our laws as an illegal including DUI so she can go home with him. No tears from me, he could have killed someone and he had no license, no insurance and drunk.
“Madina Salaty, 45, married Zunu Zunaid, 37, in 2011.”
One of these is a “Kansas woman”?
“Zunaid dropped out school and started working at Best Buy”
How does someone on a student visa do that? Here in NJ many Indian students work at Quik-E-Marts and such, but they are individually-owned businesses (always owned by “an uncle”). How does a chain like Best Buy hire an illegal?
What was a Bangladeshi doing in a bar?
Best Buy was negligent in not requiring him to provide his active visa status.
Back around 2005 we had a British national working as a contractor at one of our facilities in Missouri. He called our corporate HR dept. in early May complaining he had just been terminated because his Visa had just expired thru no fault of his own. He had been trying to renew it but it was being delayed somewhere.
We said sorry to hear that, once you get your visa renewed, contact the plant and they will rehire you if the opening still exists......
That's the way it SHOULD be done......
