PRUDEN: Hillary’s air of ‘inevitability’ evaporating; Stumbling on road to White House

Despite recent gaffes over her family finances, Hillary Rodham maintains she is committed to the lower and middle classes. Hillary's book tour is in a shambles, the fate of her $14 million advance is marooned somewhere in limbo. She’s under 50% approval for the first time in 2016 presidential polling.....

Some of the learned pundits, who only yesterday were writing about why Hillary is a lock for the White House, are writing about “five reasons why Hillary won’t run.” (1) she’s just not very good at politics; (2) there’s no “fire in the tummy”; (3) who wants to clean up after Barack Obama, any way; (4) the country wants real change; and (5) another round of “Clinton, Bush, Clinton” with children of both families waiting in the wings, is thrilling nobody.

“Even more than her dwindling leads over Republican contenders is that while she is pretty much running against herself, in a very high-profile book tour, she is losing ground,” says pollster John Zogby.

The Clintons are revealed as money grubbers, looking for cash in all the easy places,....Hillary imagines nobody will notice the greed if she poses as the selfless philanthropist, giving away her $250,000 speaker’s fees to the Clinton family foundation.

The public is on to the foundation scam, which looks like a tax dodge. The Clintons control their foundation, and the public suspects that the chief beneficiaries of the foundation “charity” are named Bill, Hillary and Chelsea.

If you're old enough, think back to 1961 - geez . . . how awfully extreme right wing does JFK seem now? Unbelievable.

. . . how awfully extreme right wing does JFK seem now?
"Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used and that definite rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against the tyranny which now appears remote in America but which historically has proven to be always possible."

- Senator Hubert H. Humphrey, MN, campaigning for the 1960 Democratic Presidential Nomination

Liberal women under 40 don’t give a rats behind about Hillary,BUT they love Fauxcahontas. I’ll be shocked if she isn’t the eventual nominee. I am not sure which is worse. Blech.

(Not that I think lib women under 40 are completely in charge of their nominee process, entirely, but Hillary just isn’t engaging at all to Gen X and Y.)

These days a man with JFK's political views couldn't get a job cleaning up the trashed American flags at a democrat party convention.

Ironically, it was his bro — Teddy — who helped push the liberal agenda in the Senate for nearly half-a-century.

The late great Al Capp would have had a field day with the Clintons, Obamas, Mezvinskies, etc. With all the characters he could have dreamed up Dogpatch would be the size of Little Rock.

Joanie Phonie remains a classic. So does S.W.I.N.E.

IMO Hitlery will not even run for President in 2016. More likely Elizabeth Warren and/or Andrew Cuomo will be running on the Dem ticket.

There’s reasons all of us were devoted to our local newspapers... Al Capp was one of ‘em.

Many of us expect a derailing of her trek to her coronation similar to the one she encountered in 2008.

Concur. Her air of inevitability died in '08 and it isn't coming back. We've had our Celebrity President. The novelty is worn off.

And us. It won’t be pretty living through more of this with either Warren or Hildabeast

The mainstream media thought they were doing Hillary a favor by taking out Christie over “Bridgegate” (worse than Benghazi, Fast & Furious, Bergdahl, and the IRS scandals combined). Instead they simplified the Republican primary contest for 2016 and may have made it easier for a conservative candidate to win the nomination.

rainbow party slice itself up

That's a good point and would be a welcome sight.

Though my bet would be that Hillary won't even run if she continues to encounter sharp criticism, which these days is coming much more from the Left than anyone else.

She expects a coronation and I doubt that she will deign to fight to win, especially for the nomination.

It would be beneath her (in her eyes) to have to battle Warren, Malloy, Booker and especially the imbecile Biden.

Be a delight to see them all up there pecking away at each other though, wouldn't it? As Hillary's vision blurs, her wrinkles deepen and her ankles grow ever more thick.
