Returning to the same New Hampshire farm where he launched his last presidential campaign, Mitt Romney on Wednesday insisted he would not pursue a third White House bid but called on voters to punish President Barack Obama by giving Republicans the Senate majority this fall.

You may gast your flabber all you want. The comparison was with Obama. Do you seriously equate the two?

If you had bothered to do your own complete investigation of Romney's past as Governor, even of his policy positions on moral issues during his most recent campaign, you would have known that Romney is just a lighter version of Obama in terms of his Progressive policy positions and actions. Factor in his constant lying about his own past and current policy positions and constant lying about Primary Opposition candidates, and what you have is someone who would have managed the decline of the U.S. at a slower pace than Obama and would have destroyed the GOP just like he did in Massachusetts.

They don't equate right now, but the effect of electing a lying progressive GOP president would have had disastrous long-term effects on this country as it would have destroyed the GOP, and given the Democrats the upper hand for decades to come.

Thank you for the education. Seriously. I dislike progressives as much as you do, dems or republicans. And I know perfectly well who ultimately runs both, and Alinsky dedicated his book to him.

Good. I want someone that has a lot more gonads than he has.

Maybe someone like Palin, she has more than him. Of course Ted is excellent.

I am starting to dislike Rand immensely.

Yeah, there was a big Facebook post today saying Mitt and Ben Carson were going to run together in 16. I kept thinking WTF - so this was interesting to see his denial.

EGO EGO EGO. He lost so he can’t voluntarily say he’ll run again. Sorry but it sounds like he’s just waiting for enough people to twist his arm and beg him.

Trying to write Mitt the Magic RINO in my head, but it’s not really coming to me.

Mitt the Magic RINO
Lived by Mass Bay
And frolicked in - see I can’t get any further than that, because Mitt just doesn’t seem like a guy who’s ever frolicked....

I’m sure someone could come up with a really good one, though, my brain has shut down.

Whatever. I catch your drift. But, you seem to have overlooked the direction this country is headed, thanks be mostly to the MUSLIM traitor in the WH. Are you saying we would be looking at the same situation, or worse, if Romney had been elected Romney? I think NOT.

"if they had only chosen MY GUY, we would have won?"

Actually, if they had only chosen a conservative. I would have even settled for a republican who wasn't a socialist but the GOPe machine gave us Romney.

I really don't want to hear anything about Romney as a unanimous choice. I know for a fact that in Iowa the fix was in. He was given votes that did not exist and callers present at the precincts had to report that fact but Romney was given the precincts anyway and the caucus win. Romney and the LSM claimed victory for him and only way later was the story released that Santorum had beat him. We won't mention the state of Virginia either, that was another of his shenanigans. Keeping Gingrich and others off the ballot so Romney was the only one who could win delegates.

After this mess about Mississippi, who knows what these RINOs did to drag Romney across the line. And what's worse, he did everything, legal and borderline, he could to stop conservatives, but he did nothing to campaign against his buddy Obama.

Romney and the GOPe RINOs only run against conservatives. They would not dare do anything to go against their pals the commie democrats.

But I guess you've forgotten that. With all the problems in Mississippi, I guess you GOPe people aren't having a very good week.

Lol, that is the silliest post I have seen in some time, the pro-abortion, pro-gay Scout leaders, anti-gun, pro-homosexualizing the military, being good on social issues.

I couldn’t support Romney in 2012, but I have tried to avoid gratuitously trashing him since his loss. I really wish he’d just leave the stage now. Maybe he should take up golf or maybe he could volunteer at a rest home or something. .

The problem in the GOP runs deep and the man who described himself as a “friend” of John McCain and is a protégé of the East Tennessee GOP Establishment (the recently deceased Howard Baker and Lamar Alexander etc. etc.) isn’t the man to run for president.

In 2008 Thompson ran for the purpose he was needed for.

He split conservative votes in SC with other candidates like Huckabee so that McCain could emerge in first place.

Fred Thompson is an actor and a GOPe operative who postures the tough guy, but is really a Romney-McCain-McConnell-Boehner on the inside.

Romney could be a good secritary of state, Newt a good Secritary of Defence, Trump a good Secritary of the Treasurey. Palin a good sec. of Education.

WHY do you believe those things? Can you cite examples of similar things he’s done in government and business?

He lost. He is not electable. He is far too leftist for the majority on this forum.

I’ll be damned if he would have brought this country to its knees with the chaos, destruction and lies that the current WH occupant has!

You're right. He would have brought this country to its knees with organized determination in betrayal from the right, squelching of resistance to government tyranny ranging from government-run health care to forced societal embrace and support of pretend homosexual marriages, rather than letting people peacefully, civilly decide on their own as to how they discriminate in their lives. Many Republicans fundamentally embrace and advance the Democrat playbook.

Coke vs Pepsi. Name your junk juice. Honest water isn't on the ballot.
