Exactly! Conservatives should be praising Christie for this decision. And enough with the name-calling and the fat jokes. I swear these people act like the hypocritical liberals, and then they expect people to treat them like adults. This ban would have done nothing to stop crime, but would have punished law-abiding gun owners. Applause for Christie. And shame on the name callers throwing out insults like six-year-olds. Grow up.

1. Hey pilot -- READ Beagle's post #16 above.

2. UNDERSTAND that talking down to people you disagree with ("... expect people to treat them like adults") is for those whose arguments are so weak they must resort to classifying fellow Americans into "children" and "adults," the "adults" being themselves, of course, and the "children" those who disagree.

There are no children involved in these decisions or discussions. They are ALL adults. Only arrogant assholes consider themselves the "adults" who must chastise "children" willful enough to dispute their flawed opinions.

In your own self, you obviously confuse arrogance with maturity.

“I believe that each state should have the right to make firearms laws as they see fit. I don’t believe it’s right for the federal government to get into the middle of this and decide firearms laws for the people of the state of NJ,” Christie told “The Record” in July 2009.”

What part of that do you not understand?

You can’t claim to support the 2nd amendment and think states should have the right to violate it at will!
