AUSTIN, Texas In a Breitbart Texas exclusive, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott revealed the State of Texas is considering suing the federal government over the costs associated with the current border crisis, primarily involving unaccompanied minors and incomplete family units from Central America. There are costs to all of this: the humanitarian crisis, healthcare, and law enforcement demands. As Attorney General, I am looking into taking legal action against the United States, said Abbott.

Enough weighing; please go ahead and file suit.
Obama likes to say, without legal right, that he has to act when Congress refuses to. In the case of Texas, and other states, they can lawfully claim the right, and indeed obligation, to act, when the federal government refuses to do its job, ranging from controlling the border to enforcing the rights of US citizens under the bill of rights. Supreme Court be damned if they don’t go along!
Wonder where we’d be if the Founding Fathers had weighed suing King George. Or even if they’d just sued King George.
Just sayin’
Should fight feds, not with lawyers, but with guard, militia, Greyhound, ...
What's keeping us from doing all of the above?
Exactly...I am going to use that statement. Well said.
Since these are children...get a family court or juvenile court to get a court order to check out the health of children....if the feds resist...slap the area under a quarantine. Arrest any fed who violates quarantine
Too many state and local officials (sans mayor of Murrieta, CA) pay a lot of lip service, but have not used legal means already at disposal. Many local and state pols support Illegal Alien Amnesty
Dear Texas, and especially the state leges in Ausztin:
“extract thy thumb from thy alimentary canal, and do it”!!!
Unimpressive. Might as well throw a marshmallow.
Lawsuits are long and cumbersome in the courts, but filing them in an election year when you are a candidate for public office (Governor of TX in Abbott’s case) has political benefits.
If Abbott becomes governor, I think more than lawsuits to cover costs are in order to protect the border. He must get past the words of Rick Perry into the action and confrontation stage using “people power” to close the border.
what the hell is there to weigh ? give us a break
