John Kerry’s nightmare dream job (Bad column in several ways)[World resists Kerry's will & ideas]

I’ve never had many charitable things to say about John Kerry, but now it’s worse; I feel sorry for him.

Kerry certainly isn’t an evil fellow, merely a run-of-the-mill narcissistic opportunist who has risen to the top of the political heap. I admire his service in Vietnam; many children of privilege — did someone mention George W. Bush? — found ways to avoid the war. If he had any stellar accomplishments during his 28 years in the Senate, they are not etched in my memory. He proved to be an inept presidential candidate in 2004.

But now, the spin goes, he is serving in his dream job, secretary of state. Kerry’s father was a Foreign Service officer, and one of his son’s first trips as secretary included a sentimental journey to Berlin, where his father worked in the US Embassy.

Shortly thereafter, Kerry uncorked perhaps the boldest diplomatic initiative of the Obama administration: a full-on restart of the moribund Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. (One thinks of his predecessor’s ill-fated “re-set” of US-Russian relations.) In July 2013, Kerry announced his ambitious objective “to achieve a final status agreement over the course of the next nine months.”

His praiseworthy goal was to see “two states living side by side in peace and security.” That didn’t work out. In the wake of this week’s discovery of the bodies of three slain Israeli teenagers, peace negotiations seem like a distant memory.

In September of 2013, Kerry offhandedly suggested that Syrian president BasharAssad could avoid military intervention in his country’s civil war if he would “turn over every single bit of his chemical weapons to the international community.” Kerry added: “It can’t be done, obviously.”(continued)

Ex-Senator John F’ing Kerry is even more worthless as Secretary of State than Hillary(!) Clinton — if that is possible. The man is an absolutely, positively glittering jewel of colossal ignorance and arrogance. He is living proof of the Peter Principal in action: a man promoted from his level of competence to that of total incompetence. God help America because Kerry and his boss, Barry Obamination, will not.

I understand that JFK says he served in Vietnam. When he wasn't wetting his tidy whites, was he fighting with the Viet Cong or NVA Regulars?

I remember he was all about fully supporting the Vietnamese communists after he managed to pull strings in the Navy to get assigned out of the war zone before his tour was over. The validity of his three Purple Hearts are doubtful. He still refuses to sign a SF180 form that would allow public scrutiny of his military records. He and “Hanoi” Jane Fonda remain icons of the Viet Nam War as heroes of the American Left. For American who fought against the communist butchers of that war, John and Jane are first class traitors. Kerry should have been hauled before a court martial, tried, convicted, and executed.

"I admire his service in Vietnam...yeah? Read "Unfit for Command", endorsed by some 250 people who knew or served with Kerry - you'll feel differently....."

Anybody that admires kerrys' service knows nothing about his so called service.
Then the low life went before congress with lies about war crimes.

I recall then Senator Kerry saying, “Nothing bad happened in Viet Nam after we left.”
