Last night, Russian border guards shot a group of 300 terrorists who tried to break into the Russian Federation from Donbas.
Putin, as always, plays on multiple fronts. For terrorists, such reprisals are a signal that there is no way back to Russia, and the mercenaries will have to fight to the end on Ukrainian soil.

I thought the Kiev Post is privately held, unlike (ahem) virtually every news outlet in Russia.
Surprised how easily folks believe everything coming from current Ukraine govt...
Wasn’t it Stalin that said there was no braver man than a coward in the Red Army?
Surprising how many people don't read (never mind, it is a time-honored FR tradition).
Editor's Note: To counter Russian propaganda lies about the Kremlin's invasion of Ukraine's Crimean peninsula on Feb. 27, Dmitry Tymchuk has set up the Center of Military and Political Research in Kyiv. The movie “Enemy at the Gates” portrayed this in the defense of Stalingrad. Any retreat of Russian soldiers was met with Russian machine guns.

LOL. Little to none Russian medias are government-owned. Most of the major ones are government-friendly for one reason or another though.
It is exactly the same for Ukraine, probably worse.
There are more evidence of Ukrainian government meddling in a freedom of press, including killing journalists, than anything like that in Russia.
Google Gongadze, Gurevoi etc.
There are strong evidence that Gongadze was killed under Ukrainian (pro-Western) president order at the time for exposing a government corruption.
It’s cultural, unauthorised retreat or surrender historically considered shameful and treasonous in and it is a felony under a federal law to this day.
You can see footage of a Russian strike aircraft from the Georgian War intercepted missile with it’s engine and shredded by shrapnel but still engaging target as far as it still has payload and another engine keeps it in the air.
On the other hand I don’t think it is the case for Ukraine. Even if there is a truth in the article, the reason for this shooting is that a few rebels are Russian personnel actually. The majority are local Ukrainians or volonteers from anywhere. Who would tolerate an armed gangs on it’s territory?
Hey, Mongoloid, welcome to FR.
Hey, Mongoloid, welcome to FR.
Good the Russian want a fight they can fight each other. Putin is showing his true colors now.
I agree. The “rebels” are likely Roosian “rebadged” soldiers operating in-force.
The suggestion in some Ukrainian articles is that Putin is trying to get rid of unwanted people. The Russian hardcore nationalists, (who until the Russian Spring Crimean Fever have been critical of him), as well as Chechens and other mercenary Muslims (who’ll be happy enough to start shooting Russians again)
