So, calling for restraint is the equivalent of saying, "Good Jews will march to the gas chambers in an orderly fashion."

I see this VERY differently. Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Palestinian Authority, as the terrorist parties, have a particular responsibility to show restraint and to ensure that no more lives are lost. Since the terrorists can end the violence at any time simply by unilaterally stopping their bombings, kidnappings, murders, rockets, and mortars, and all Israel can do is decide whether and how to respond, I’m not sure why anyone would bother asking Israel to do more (unless the Norwegian foreign minister is antisemitic, in which case this makes perfect sense).
Israel is always called on to restrain from retaliating from attacks and the murder of their citizens. But nothing said about the attacks of Hamas against them. All the world wants Jews dead.
