The Media's 'Real Women' at the Supreme Court
News Busters ^ | July 5 2014 | Jeffrey Lord

In a front page story about a new Supreme Court decision involving birth control and Wheaton College, a conservative Christian school, the Post story by Robert Barnes began this way: “The three female justices of the Supreme Court sharply rebuked their colleagues Thursday for siding with a Christian college in the latest battle over providing women with contraceptive coverage under the Affordable Care Act, saying the court was retreating from assurances offered only days ago.”

What is the Post trying to communicate here? Every conservative in the land gets it. This Supreme Court majority is not composed of five Justices. It is composed of five men. And these male jackasses have just made a decision they aren’t qualified to make because they are men. Worse still, four of the five are white men.

And standing up to them were three brave women Justices. Women -- make that Real Women -- who are enraged at their male colleagues because, don’t you know, these insufferable male jackasses don’t have a clue about what it is to be a woman.

But what if this story were slightly different? Let’s assume that the majority opinion was written by five women. Let’s, for the sake of the argument, give all these five women law degrees from Harvard and Yale. With a boatload of prestigious legal credentials between the five. Let’s give them each a name (and yes, I realize some of the people named here are not lawyers, but let’s pretend.) Now the Justices writing the majority opinion are named Justice Michele Bachmann, Justice Charmaine Yoest, Justice Sarah Palin, Justice Virginia Thomas and Justice Nikki Haley.

Lawyer or not, each of these women are in fact conservative., and prominently so. Yoest in particular has been very much out front for decades with her leadership in

Justice Sarah Palin? Talk about heads exploding! Maybe she should go back to school and get a law degree, just for the entertainment value. If Michelle can get one it can’t be that hard. LOL

Does the U.S. Constitution require SCOTUS justices to have a law degree? Does it even require any experience practicing law, or being a judge?

No, I don’t believe so, but in today’s world I don’t think they’d nominate a non-attorney.

Nope. In the early days many couldn't have had law degrees per se because you had to be filthy rich to attend one of the few law schools that existed in the New World.

All passed the bar, but Levi Woodbury, who didn't serve until 1845, was the first to have actually held a law degree.

And three of the most influential Chief Justices [for good or ill] were never judges until they were appointed to the Court: John Marshall, Earl Warren and William Rehnquist.

Every Supreme Court Justice in our history has been a lawyer, but the idea of appointing only judges from lower courts is a relatively new one-- it began in the 1970s and 80s when Presidents wanted a good preview of how the judge would vote.

If five female USSC justices issued a conservative ruling on a matter relating to abortion or birth control, the media would inform us that they weren’t “real” women.

The three women on the Supreme Court were incensed about SCOTUS’s recent decisions because, as they claimed, the five Justices who voted to uphold the religious rights of two Christian institutions were males and therefore could not possibly understand the effects on women of their decisions.

Yet at the same time, three of the four Justices who voted AGAINST upholding the religious rights of two Christian institutions are Jewish — Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, and Elaine Kagan — and therefore truly cannot be expected to understand the effects of THEIR decisions on Christians and their consciences.

If the members of the Supreme Court reflected the make-up of America’s citizenry, there would not be three Jewish Justices on the Supreme Court at one time, as there is now. And there would also not be three rabid feminists on the Court, either.

But this is what we have. At least it would help if the media were fair and pointed out ALL of the possible biases of such an unbalanced Court, instead of just letting themselves be used as propaganda organs for SCOTUS’s three angry liberal women.

If its about choice..Is it legal to force a women to use birth control?...if you say no

Then it should be legal to force one women to pay for another women birth control and take the right of choice from one person
