“I said: ‘Hey, don’t do that.’ He said: ‘That’s where it belongs,’” she said.
Another anti-illegal immigration activist said that pro-amnesty demonstrators called her a “f***ing whore” i Spanish, and shouted, “F*** America!”
I’m afraid I am of the mind that...if I were there...there would be casualties.
Tin foil hat time. Any chance the confrontations were organized to cause violence against the illegals making a cause celebre for the Regime to go martial law on anti amnesty citizens?

Our local news showed that one of the signs the pro- amnesty crowd was holding up said "You are on stolen land".

Someone posted a chart on another thread, that said 71% of illegal immigrants are on some type government assistance, (which should be called "Tax Payer Assistance).
And regarding the unaccompanied children showing up on our border -They are not here to work-so who is going to pay for their basic care, medical care, exc..? Even if they have relatives here-How are they going to pay for them?
We do have to help the kids who are here. It's not their fault that their parents, or drug cartels, are using them to gain some advantage. But we must acknowledge the tremendous strain they are going to put on our system.
We do need to deal with the illegal immigration issue-And we have to start by taking an honest, unflinching, look, at how it effects our nation- real costs, strain on services, no medical/criminal screenings done on them, exc..
There are questions that need answers in order to solve this issue such as:
Can someone who comes here illegally, because they think the US "owes" them, really be a positive member of our nation?
Is it fair to let them (illegals) , in ahead of those who respect our laws and want to be part of America, (as opposed to illegals who think America stole from them personally-never mind what the corrupt governments of their home countries have done to cause their misery/poverty? We give millions and millions of dollars to these countries in foreign aid-why are there so many problems?
How is that money being used?)
How much of our resources (read tax payer's money) should go to support illegal immigrants?
Is it even right to take money away from what was meant for our citizens, veterans, and legal immigrants?
(Ask the tax payers if they want their money to go veterans or illegals.)
These are all practical questions, that have to be asked, and answered, before we can even begin to talk about any sort of amnesty.
( The first thing that can be done is to SHUT THE BORDER.)
