The Department of Health and Human Services is allowing members of Congress to visit a Texas immigration detention center amid growing concerns about access to such facilities housing the recent surge of children who have illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border.
The tour is scheduled to take place Tuesday morning. The site will be a temporary shelter at the Joint Base San Antonio Lackland, according to The Blaze news website.
Tens of thousands of young people -- including an estimated 50,000 children -- have illegally crossed the border in recent months, sent by their parents to escape violence in Central America and connect with relatives in the United States.
The long-simmering issue about what the U.S. should do with an estimated 11.5 million people now living here illegally and the need to tighten border security has emerged as a key 2014 election issue. The surge of illegals also resulted this week in a tense standoff in Southern California in which residents of the city of Murrieta turned back buses carrying an overflow of illegal border-crossers.

I will be asking questions much like these of my Rep. senator this year. If I don’t get the right answer, I can’t stomach voting for the Democrat, but I won’t be voting for him. These RINO’s better wake up, NOW.
I’m talking to YOU, Mitch McConnell.
lol
I don’t think that shipping people into a strange country and turning them into welfare dependent democrats qualifies as “charity.”
Since the illegal alien invaders youth are “in custody”...arrest them, seize any assets and deport them. Who gives a crap if they are “children”?
Here’s an idea: “No tour, no money, expel the illegal aliens.”
Here’s another idea: “Remove the illegal alien from the White House and imprison him in solitary confinement forever.”
Life is much easier when making adult decisions in accordance with the law.
Second option? Charter cargo planes and set up netting seats like in military transports. The cost would be far less. 2 billion dollars would go a long ways in securing our border and ending the ability to enter the U.S. illegally.

Whatever congress sees will be staged. Scripted and spun.
SUGAR enabler! Child abuse!
Good Idea
The best thing congress can decide is to fly the veterans down there so they can get to see a doctor...
bet they send any and all scabie ones elsewhere..
You took da words right outta my mouth. They will be sanitized (literally) and staged for the nice congresscritters’ visit. Meanwhile, they are spreading parasites and diseases all over the country. Every minute they are here is an affront to U.S. citizens.
How did all these children get through when “the border is more secure than ever?”
Really. Pay for it out of Secret Service budget. That and Moochelle’s vacations.
Back door amnesty, congress is anon entity becuase they allowed it, no one stood up and screamed the first time they were bypassed, feckless idiots on the dole and eating from the rat trough

DO THIS NOW Demand your state and federal legislators add one question to welfare applications, EITC forms, healthcare forms, and all other subsidy forms (the list is endless).
THE QUESTION: How many us govt checks is the applicant now cashing? (subsidy requires names used on govt checks and amounts)
Important notation on bottom of forms: (A) Falsifying us govt applications is a crime. (B) Taking us govt money under false pretenses is punishable by 5 years or more incarceration.
How much does it cost to send them all back?
