The statement that paedophilia is “natural and normal” was made not three decades ago but last July. It was made not in private but as one of the central claims of an academic presentation delivered, at the invitation of the organisers, to many of the key experts in the field at a conference held by the University of Cambridge.
Other presentations included “Liberating the paedophile: a discursive analysis,” and “Danger and difference: the stakes of hebephilia.”

Someone here will probably remember an essay which has been posted on FR, by a Jewish writer or rabbi, explaining the purpose of marriage as God ordained it, and how civilization was eventually transformed because of the Jewish restrictions that curbed male omnisexuality.
This writer is completely opposed to homosexuality, pedophilia, and other perversions, but he does regard them as the natural state and appetite of man, man without God.
I don't know about that, it sounds really expensive. Can't we just execute them instead?

And I have no idea how you put this genie back in the bottle. How many cases until they get the ruling they want? 20? 40? The forces of the liberals are vast and highly organized. Eventually they will find one judge who wants his child flesh. or worse, an honest judge who will look at those vast volumes of precedent and make the ‘logical’ decision in the light of Lawrence, abortions, condoms and the rest that age of consent laws unconstitutionally infringe on a child's right to choose a sexual partner.

The essay you refer to was penned by Dennis Prager. Sexuality is so powerful that men will do just about anything for gratification. Without the Torah there is no reason to restrict that drive. Even very intelligent, astute leaders fall prey to the sexual appetite. What Torah gives us is a Law and a Relationship with the Lawgiver. Knowledge. Covenant. Identity. And ultimately Wisdom, the ability to discern the difference between what we can do, and what we should do. As the Nazirine said, “You know the commandments. Do them and live.” Oh yes, and he said “Every one of them.” The Word of G-d is not a buffet line.

Can we blame Obama?
Our legal scholars remind us that this is the difference between prohibitum in se, that is, something illegal because it is inherently wrong, and malum prohibitum, something that is illegal because society declares it so. We can dance on the head of a pin all day long over what is theoretically just and proper, but the bottom line is that malum prohibitum remains entirely valid: touch the kids and we'll kill you.
And that, I suggest, is the reaction of the "normal" male.
