The psychological effects of disorientation without command elements, helplessness if wounded (no medic), and isolation in the face of enemy forces (no radio) can give the attackers an advantage.

What is happening in Ukraine reminds me of a conversation I had with my Father when was I was very little girl.
My Dad was a WWII Vet (Army Air Corp- Pacific.) I was asking why people made Polish jokes? He told me he had deep respect for Poland.
