Californias Big Three energy regulating agencies just warned in a joint letter to the California Water Resources Control Board that planned water curtailments for 2014 would present a danger to grid reliability and create substantial potential for serious public health and safety impacts.

Hope the California greenies enjoy sitting in the dark
Bugs and cute baby animals are more important.
Uncontrolled immigration is not helping the upcoming crisis. As California’s population heads towards 50 million no consideration is being taken for water or power.
I very much doubt that they do. But they sure do want everyone else to sit in the dark, in the heat, in the cold while dying of thirst with an empty belly.
Another factor: the coming changing weather conditions to a cooler, cloudier world will lessen power output from the solar farms.
Californicateia is going to lead the nation into the third world.
I thought we had a (flood producing) el ninjo on the way.
President Cloward-Piven is doing a great job.
Hey, it could be worse, we could have a 72 hour eclipse.., no wind, no power.. no solar.
what then?
can’t happen?
nobody ever thought we’d have a nation wrecker in the Oval Orifice either.

sidenote.. how many years has this state failed to seriesly address the need for more storage facilities like dams, reservoirs, holding ponds, etc.. ??
It comes up every year in some way shape form or fashion of legislation and/or referendum.. the usual scope of the proposals always seem to include poison pill features ..
meanwhile levees get zip for attention.. so the next time a big rainfall and floods come,, some will burst and flood land and communities, and the rest of the water will flush out to sea.
but don’t worry, the salmon and the longfin smelt will be ok.. forget the rest of us.
The tactic is to create regulatory scarcity so that we are driven to less consumptive life styles = sustainable communities. You know, like in pre WWI days when only the really wealthy could afford electricity and central heat.
Here’s an idea - kick all the illegals back where they came from and Californians would have all the water and electricity they needed. Housing costs would come down. Education costs would come down. There wouldn’t so many traffic jams so Californians could be home with their families quicker and they’d use less gas. Road construction and repair would decrease. They could get into the ER within a reasonable time without 145 illegals with hang nails and runny noses in front of them. And waiting rooms, schools and restaurants wouldn’t be full of so many deadly turd world diseases. Gang violence would fall. There’d be less DUIs and the list of good things to be gained with the booting out of illegals just keeps on growing.
California greenies have been pushing for dismantling dams. In particular, they want the Hetch Hetchy site in Yosemite dismantled, currently supplies water to the San Francisco metropolitan area, as well as lots of electrical power. They want it restored to its natural state before the white man came. What they don't understand is that the local Indian tribes created the lush valleys that were there; it was all man-made and maintained by Indians so it would be a barren valley if in a natural state and no one would look at it then. Greenies are nuts.
