When I was paralegal back in my college days, I remember a local Circuit Court case where a lawyer brought up a recent Supreme Court ruling and the presiding judge cut him off by saying, “I don’t care what the Supreme Court says, this is my courtroom and my rules are the only thing you need to worry about.”
There will be such snots and that’s one reason why there are so many levels of appeals available.
