Carr: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is no 'martyr'
Boston Herald ^ | July 8, 2014 | Howie Carr

So now we learn that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev — aka the Joker — was bragging a month before he slaughtered Americans at the Boston Marathon that he wanted to die a martyr.

A martyr? Don’t martyrs want to die ASAP, to get their 72 virgins?

What kind of martyr has his own “dream team” of defense attorneys? Not to mention a special flying squad of anti-death penalty lawyers who commute from San Diego to Boston. And a pollster to try to get the would-be martyr a change of venue to a location whose jurors are less likely to martyr him.

They’re just not making martyrs like they used to, I guess.

But we all know why the “tousle-haired All-American” boy (to use a few of the bouquets tossed his way by his groupies in the media) has such a fine team of attorneys.

Because he’s not paying for them. We are, the taxpayers. This is the new America, where the perps have more rights than the victims, especially if they’re on welfare and from foreign countries.

At least the Joker spared us the additional millions that might have been spent trying his older brother, Speedbump. The late Speedbump had seven notches on his scimitar when the Joker made a martyr out of him at the age of 25. You may call Speedbump a serial killer, the Globe calls him “a stay-at-home dad.”

So how’s “political asylum” working out for you? Not to mention the celebration of diversity.

Has Deval Patrick figured out yet what the Tsarnaev brothers’ motives were?

These latest revelations come at the obstruction-of-justice trial of one of the Joker’s roommates, Azamat (rhymes with Hazmat) Tazhayakov.

Try not to let what I’m about to tell you destroy your faith in the success of the Immigration Reform Act of 1965:

Tazhayakov is an illegal alien — he overstayed his student visa.

In court, he has a Russian interpreter.

But ... but ... I thought Hazmat was an exchange student at UMass Dartmouth? Yet he still needs a translator in court. But why not? After all, he’s not paying for the translator, we are.

When the Joker told Hazmat that he wanted “to die with a smile and go straight to heaven,” did this newcomer to our land call 911? No, he did not. He knew his pot-dealing, welfare-collecting pal was one of the bombers eight hours before he was identified, but he couldn’t bother to call any emissaries of the Great Satan.

If he had, MIT police officer Sean Collier might be alive today.

And the Joker committed these terrible atrocities six months after he swore an oath “to support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America.”

Why are we going through this expensive charade? Hazmat, the Joker and all the rest of you foreign ingrates destroying our nation — just plead guilty and ask to be sent to Gitmo.

You’ll be back home in a matter of months, Obama will make sure of that. After all, you’re the real victims.

tangential to your ping list. Sadly, I agree with the quote at posting 2:

For years I had thought that California (where I had lived) was the nexus of American trendy-weird-sickness. But I was partly wrong. This is a big country. One state cannot possibly do all the sick heavy lifting.

Voilà, Massachusetts, right in my own back yard. Coupe Deval, Elizabeth Warren, The Kennedy Kluster, illegal aliens, welfare fraud, vote fraud, pension fraud, national talent searches, queer marriage, every thing a Leftie Trust Fund Baby could possibly want.

And now this Bomber-Coddling. Wonderful. Just like Obama and Bill Ayers! Massholes, I salute you all. You are in the Big Time!

How did Hazmat get to be an exchange student at ANY US college without passing the TOFL? Pretty much a standard for admissions at any university for an international student. And if he passed the TOFL, he speaks English.

The only winners, as in so many cases, are the lawyers.

We are a country of law(yer)s, aren’t we?
