George W. Bush was widely criticized for his administrations response to Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the Gulf Coast in 2005. Among other things, Bush was slammed for praising then-FEMA director Michael Brown by saying Brownie, youre doing a heckuva job and for a photograph taken from Air Force One in which he was seen peering at the wreckage.

All true, but there is no excuse for letting a news chopper hover over I-10 showing a bunch of people trapped by flood waters and there is nobody helping them.
That could have easily been avoided. Bush dropped the ball on that one
