With our GOP governors close political loyality ties with Corker and Alexander I doubt our governor will act to protect the health and safety of Tennessee. Governors need to grow a spine and that too leads back to Romney who pandered to the left.

Among all Romney’s many faults, in 2012 he had a more conservative position on illegal immigration than anyone in Congress. I would like him to run if only to keep our more favored candidates true on immigration. I winced as Newt rambled on about church-going PTA-attending Hispanics.
According to Wikipedia, Romney was an independent in 1992 and voted for Paul Tsongas for President in the Democrat primary that year. He changed his affiliation to Republican in 1993 to run to the left of Ted Kennedy for U.S. Senate.
Looks like Ansel isn't making that up. And yes, his PLATFORM was conservative. But not a whole lot else about Romney himself was.
Immigration was another Romney fake out.

A few days after the debate, the Boston Globe decided to look again at Mitt’s house, and guess what, they found Guatemalan illegals, they were working for the same Colombian, MITT HAD NEVER FIRED THEM!
Ten years and a national scandal, turned into 11 years, and into a second national scandal, with all the same players, the same “contractor”, Guatemalan illegals, and the same Mitt Romney and his wife interacting with them at their home during the week.
Getting people to understand many politicians are like chameleons in the way they change their platform or much worse their principles to suit the political environment they are in is a difficult task. Hillary Clinton can give Conservative speeches as could Bill in 1992. Just be darned if I’d vote for her if she changed to GOP. Also don’t just listen to what they say but also read what they say {speeches}. You’ll often catch many important things about a candidate you likely missed.

I don’t really care because Romney was going to get my vote vs Obama once he secured the nomination and frankly I consider it hysteria at that point to believe it was correct to allow Obama to win.
He did have a conservative platform, was he completely trustworthy I’m sure not. He’s a politician.
