The Blaze brings our attention to recent commentary by CNN columnist Sally Kohn on the topic of illegal immigration. She claims that describing immigrants that way, as “illegal,” is like using the n-word to describe black people. Kohn writes:
During the civil rights era, Alabama Gov. George Wallace was asked by a supporter why he was fixated on the politics of race. Wallace replied, ‘You know, I tried to talk about good roads and good schools and all these things that have been part of my career, and nobody listened. And then I began talking about n*ggers, and they stomped the floor.’

Today, opponents of immigration reform attack undocumented immigrants as ‘illegal immigrants.’ Even worse, like anti-immigration extremists, some prominent elected officials use the term ‘illegals.’ Maine Gov. Paul LePage, a Republican, said, ‘I urge all Mainers to tell your city councilors and selectmen to stop handing out your money to illegals.’
Not the same thing? Of course it is.
No, it isn’t. Kohn’s equivalence is beyond despicable.
The n-word serves no descriptive purpose. It does not speak to a factual truth about its object. The n-word is plainly and only derogatory.
The word “illegal” is an adjective with objective meaning that describes a factual reality. We call illegal immigrants “illegal” because they are here illegally. It’s pretty simple.

Seeing how border crossing is actively on-going right this minute and hardly after the fact, why get hung up with what FORM of immigrant one is speaking about?
Just call them collectively as an INVASION FORCE.

In this Orwell lays out how the all controlling state aims to keep its subjects in bondage and without the ability to rebel. So I argue that it is much too important a declaration to leave in its highly intellectual form.
How might you shorten it?
I offer this as simpler way to remember it so as to be able to repeat it to any who will listen:
It’s okay to call them “illegal” if they’re mowing Romney’s lawn.
And by the way, it’s against the law to employ an illegal alien. Is it against the law to allow them to live with you?

“Illegal” implies law-breakers, something which concerns conservatives (but not liberals; refer to my sig). “N*gger” implies a judgment on a person based on an inherent trait, a Leftist and Darwinist tactic.
Forced segregation and forced desegregation (read Barry Goldwater’s reasons for voting against the 1964 C.R. Act and not the reasons from racists like Al Gore Sr. and Robert Byrd if you want to see why that bill was foolish) are both tactics the Left uses to justify control over the economy (never mind that the two stances are inconsistent, a controlled economy and criminal antics are all the Left cares about). The Left supports illegal immigration because they hate the notion of “law and order”; since “law and order” assumes a moral authority and punishes criminals, they are by necessity against it.

That statement is patently false. I guess we’re not allowed to discuss why it is false, so I’ll let it go at that.
