From time to time, I get messages saying my earlier email was rejected or blocked for being spam. Is there some way I can get a report on my email address, sort of like a credit check? If my address has a bad reputation, how can I repair it. I am not sending spam, but perhaps someone is spooking me? Thanks.

A reknowned spammer just hit FR, he is probably from Senegal, and has been one of those "A rich uncle has to get $10 million out of senegal, if you give me $10k i can split the money with you" scammers. DO NOT give him your email address, he will sell it to dozens of email spambot networks. I hope this was self evident to the FR community, but would rather be seen as a bit pedantic than have FR be the vector for someone to lose their life savings from a African email scam.

Just when I thought we weren’t going to see any spam campaigns related to the recent announcement of United States President Barack Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, I was proven wrong. Spammers rarely disappoint when a juicy news story hits. It’s like attracting flies to honey. This spam campaign calls into question whether or not Barack Obama deserved to win the Nobel Prize and that significant fallout is being felt around the country as a result. The email then requests that the user click or copy/paste a link into their browser which will direct them to a website...

Review Of The Seventh Chapter Of Signature In The Cell by Stephen Meyer ISBN: 9780061894206; ISBN10: 0061894206; Imprint: HarperOne The distinction between historical and experimental science is one that extends back over the centuries and at its core seems easy to grasp. Whereas historical science has as its focus events that have defined the history both of our planet and larger cosmos, experimental science has its eye on the current operation of nature. The 19th century philosopher William Whewell coined the term ‘palaetiological sciences’ to describe those fields of science, such as geology and paleontology, that have a historical perspective (1)....

Pit bull takes down 150-pound doe By Erin McClary C & G Staff Writer MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Deputies were shocked to find the scene of what a frantic 911 caller described as a pit bull attacking a deer the morning of Sept. 24. I just watched the classic movie “High Noon”, AGAIN! Gary Cooper played a brave sheriff who brought law and order to his town. As one woman said, “He made it safe for a decent woman to walk down the street”. A recently released outlaw was coming back to town on the noon train to deliver vengeance against the sheriff who put him away. His gang of three arrived early to help their leader take out the sheriff. Fully aware of why the bad men were in town, the sheriff could not arrest them because they had not broken any laws....

Security: A Senate bill lets the president "declare a cybersecurity emergency" relating to "nongovernmental" computer networks and do what's needed to respond to the threat. Didn't they just collect our e-mail addresses? We wish this was just a piece of the fictional "Dr. Strangelove" that fell to the cutting-room floor, but it's not. It is a real piece of disturbingly vague legislation sponsored by Sens. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., Bill Nelson, D-Fla., and Olympia Snowe, R-Maine. The 2009 Darwin celebrations were less than three years away, when my friend and colleague Dr Emil Silvestru, geologist and speaker with CMI-Canada, told me about an idea he had for a documentary film. The strongest influence on Darwin in this regard was...

Cambrian Explosion Caught on Film David Coppedge An explosion is coming: a devastating blast against Darwinism in the form of a dynamite new film from Illustra Media: Darwin’s Dilemma: The Mystery of the Cambrian Fossil Record. Rather than respond to their concerns and alter the plans accordingly, Obama continues to “stay the course” and ignore the will of the people he has pledged to represent. This is an unfamiliar situation for Obama; during the campaign he was often able to charm citizens into agreement with a fell swoop of his elegant rhetoric. Times have changed, though. President Obama will need much more than lofty prose to bring back a country that shifts against him more and more as the days wear on. He is becoming desperate. When the American taxpayer is footing the bill, desperate times...

Ron Paul supporters have organized a Book bomb with the intention of getting his latest book to #1 on Amazon.com sales rank. The link contains no referer code. The email lists were actually provided by the White House although they originally denied this. Representative McCotter wants the White House to come clean on this latest scandal. The site is govdelivery.comand Eric Shawn reports it appears they work for eleven government agencies in sending out mass emails. Once confronted with the evidence, the White House finally admitted doing it, but blamed "third-party" organizations for giving them email addresses of people who had not signed up to receive them. Now they...

The White House hired a private communications company based in Minnesota to distribute mass e-mails, helping to shed light on how some recipients received e-mails in support of President Obama's health care plan without signing up for them, FOX News has learned. The company, Govdelivery, describes itself as the world's leading provider of government-to-citizen communication solutions and says its e-mail service provides a fully-automated on-demand public communication system. The confirmation comes after the White House acknowledged this week that people were receiving unsolicited e-mails from the administration about health care reform and suggested the problem was with third-party groups that...

Al Gore might have taken the initiative in creating the Internet, but no one seems to have bothered to teach basic netiquette to Barack Obama and his White House staff. As they have grown more desperate in their attempts to remake America's medical system in the image of the post office, they have resorted to increasingly obnoxious email tactics. First was flag@whitehouse.gov, the address for reporting "fishy" speech. After being pilloried endlessly for what critics thought was an effort to compile an enemies list, the White House deactivated the address--and blamed its critics. The following post, by special assistant to...

After insisting no one was receiving unsolicited e-mails from the White House, officials reversed their story Monday night and blamed outside political groups for the unwanted messages from the tech-savvy operation. White House online director Macon Phillips said in a blog posting that independent groups — he didn't name them — had signed-up their members to receive regular updates about Obama's projects, priorities and speeches. The White House had consistently denied that anyone who hadn't sought the e-mails had received them. The White House said Sunday night that it will change its e-mail sign-up procedures after some recipients of a health-care e-mail complained that they had not asked to receive updates. “We are implementing measures to make subscribing to e-mails clearer, including preventing advocacy organizations from signing people up to our lists without their permission when they deliver petition signatures and other messages on individual’s behalf,” spokesman Nick Shapiro said in a statement Sunday night. After a few such recipients appeared on Fox News, White House officials determined that advocacy groups on the right or left could have sent in the...

New software developed at the Georgia Institute for Technology can identify spam before it hits the mail server. The system, known as SNARE (Spatio-temporal Network-level Automatic Reputation Engine), scores each incoming e-mail based on a variety of new criteria that can be gleaned from a single packet of data. The researchers involved say the automated system puts less of a strain on the network and minimizes the need for human intervention while achieving the same accuracy as traditional spam filters.Separating spam from legitimate e-mail, also known as ham, isn't easy. That's partly because of the sheer volume of messages that...

How James Carville’s New Book, 40 More Years Misrepresents Intelligent Design In his new book, 40 More Years: How the Democrats Will Rule the Next Generation, Democratic strategist James Carville badly misrepresents intelligent design (ID) as a wholly negative argument against evolution. What’s most incredible is that Carville makes this inaccurate characterization directly after quoting passages from ID proponents making wholly positive arguments for design. One such passage he quotes is from our Intelligent Design Briefing Packet for Educators, as follows:Intelligent design “begins with the observation that intelligent agents produce complex and specified information (CSI).…One easily testable form of CSI...
