Heavens to Mergatroid. Is The World Cup still going on?
Sheesh. About the only thing that goes on foreverer than the NBA and NHL playoffs is The World Cup.

So Germany won by a touchdown and extra point.
What do you call Brazil’s loss?

After watching the replay, I’ve seen San Marino or Liechtenstein play better than Brazil did. Absolutely atrocious. Yes, the Germans played great, but Brazil gave them a lot of help.

I’ll take the other side of that. My good friend, Mr George Washington, believes that the Brazilians will be so shell-shocked that they’ll blow the Betty Bowl.

In retrospect, it should have been obvious that Brazil was doomed.
Pele. Awesome name. Win
Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Bebeto, Romario. Awesome names (more or less). Win
Fred, Joe. Uh, seriously? No really, that’s the best you can do? You lose. By six.

If the Brasilian defenders had been give wiffle bats in the second half, it might have been a much closer game.
Series, if they send their team up here we could teach them a number of other games.
Softball or water polo mebbe. Croquet?

Thank you Germany, for ‘taking out the trash.’
They’re all over Florida. Naturally, they brought their ‘norm’ (their lying, corrupt business practices) along with them.
And the ‘Noble Brazilians’ didn’t even behead any referees this time?

Holland to win against Argentina, then a rather sombre third place match Brazi v Argentina, which neither side will want to play. Then Germany v Holland in a half empty Maracana in Rio on Sunday. But billions watching on TV.
Have a funny feeling that Holland might beat Germany. Quite likely to go to extra time and pks.

Brazil simply stank. They were appalling and deserved to lose. This is not how you play the beautiful game!
Germany’s Miroslav Klose is now the greatest football player of all time. He can help lift his team to the World Cup on Sunday.

Germany coasted through the U.S. game. They played with the U.S. like a cat played with a mouse.
I told some friends before this game that I thought Germany was sandbagging. Yep.

I’ve heard where they are calling for the president of the country to resign. I wonder. Is it too late to demand that obama step down after the Broncos melt down in the Super Bowl?
