PALIN: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION 'TIPPING POINT' ON IMPEACHMENT
Breitbart Big Government ^ | 7-8-14 | by TONY LEE

Posted on 07/08/2014 8:59:25 PM PDT by kingattax

Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy has argued that "impeachment was quite intentionally included by the Framers as the ultimate check against presidential lawlessness," and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said on Tuesday that the illegal immigration issue was the "tipping point" for her in deciding that Obama needed to be impeached for a pattern of lawlessness.

Appearing on Fox News' Hannity after she called for Obama's impeachment in a Breitbart News op-ed, Palin said that Obama has already committed at least 25 impeachable offenses, including lying to the American people and fraud, especially on policies like Obamacare and the federal debt.

Palin said the illegal immigration crisis that Obama created issue hurts American workers of all backgrounds and noted that "a great awakening is due in this country." She said impeachment can send a message to Obama that "he is not an imperial president and lawlessness will not be accepted by the American people." Saying that protecting the Constitution is a "bipartisan issue," Palin called on Congress to "do its job to halt an imperial presidency" and "halt the fundamental transformation of America."

"Let's get going on that," she said.

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution....

The President, Vice President and ‘all’ civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, ‘and Conviction’ of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

BTW Marlowe....it appears these rouge nations are assisting in this for the kickback they’re getting from our Gov...our tax dollars.

Agree that a black swan event could change everything. But I see the charge and trial in the House as a separate issue from removal from office upon conviction in the Senate.

Impeachment is such a serious charge that it must never be made frivously, and if if it is warranted, the charge should be brought and the case argued in the House without regard for what might happen in the Senate. This is too serious a matter for amateur lawyers to play “plea bargain” games as per a previous thread today. It debases the Congress and the nation as a whole if high crimes and misdemeanors have been committed, and the House is afraid to bring the charge of impeachment just because someone is trying to second-guess what might happen or how it might impact the upcoming election.

I guarantee you if the tables were turned and it was a Republican president, there would be no hesitation whatsoever. None.

The involuntary quartering of illegals in the homes of citizens. This is not asking for church members to volunteer their homes, but FEMA assigning illegals to homes with "excess capacity"

Ah yes, the old quartering act. It went over like the proverbial screen door on a submarine, in the colonies.

Has anyone seen any news reports of all the warring going on in Central America??

Not a word. Is it between the Drug Cartels?

Don’t we have some Army troops in Honduras?

Marines on our border is one thing, but not down there.

We're not even willing to do that. Regardless, these countries have committed acts of war against the United States by conspiring to invade the United States. If we can't react to an active invasion, then we are no longer a Country.

That’s right. And we sure don’t need to send any Americans anywhere south of our own border.

It worked out pretty well in 1846.

Yes it did. But 1846 is why they’re seriously into “Reconquista” now.

Then we need to go back down there and teach them another lesson. Then in another 150 years we can do it again. Only this time we need to annex Baja California. We can relocate all the people in Tijuana. But there is some really prime beachfront real estate in Baja just waiting to be part of the US. We made a serious mistake when we set the border at San Diego. We should have set it at the Colorado river.

Like I said, you lead the way.

We aren’t going to get tied up in a war in Mexico.

We aren’t going to get tied up in a war in Mexico.

Then let's just surrender the Western US back to Mexico and give them their Aztlan state.

If we aren't willing to go to war to protect our sovereignty, then we are not a sovereign nation.

Sealing the border and some drones would do it.

Obama already sealed the border. Didn't you hear his speech a couple of years ago? The border is secure. You have Obama's word on it.

These are not univited illegal aliens; these are war refugees.

“Palin is right, although this Congress will never actually do it.”

True, we have to take the Senate first.

Until then, we need to focus on securing our borders.

“Take the Senate”

to what end? Most GOPers won’t vote to convict. I doubt most House GOPers would vote to impeach unless they were sure Obama would win in the Senate.

By “take the senate,” I mean conservatives, not liberal Republicans (or lib Dems) taking it. And I know that’s unlikely.

But my main point is that impeachment proceedings would be a waste of time, so we need to work on pressuring our politicians to secure our borders.

Impeachment is such a dumb idea at this point I won’t even
discuss it.
