Republican Iowa U.S. Senate candidate Joni Ernst attempted Tuesday night to walk back statements made at a January event in which she said President Barack Obama had “become a dictator” who should be “removed from office” or face “impeachment.”

In a statement provided to Yahoo News, reacting to a story published earlier Tuesday, Ernst said that she did not believe Obama is a dictator but rather “his repeated use of unilateral action sure makes him look like one.”

“To be clear, I have not seen any evidence that the President should be impeached,” the statement read.

It is what Team Romney does.
They lie and PRETEND to be conservative.
Then they backstab the conservatives.
Then they back the Democrats. Always.

Agreed. I think “walking back” her remarks will do her more harm than the original statement. Well, except with Karl and the GOPe.

In January 2008, then-Obama-worshiping sycophant, now Obama-worshiping sycophant reporter Meredith Shiner wrote on her “Rise and Shiner” blog…

“ Still haven’t gotten my absentee ballot. Still working on it. Still hoping to vote for Barack Obama. But, in the meantime, Barack won South Carolina—with, dare I say it, gumption. Take that Bill, er, Hillary. Politics of hope>politics of fear, bitch.

The Clintons are using race to scare voters, and hopefully Americans are sharp enough to see through it.

Glad you're still around. Sent her some money for the primaries. Why run to the middle? Here some solid Dan Gable advice for Joni and others. Or as Frederick the Great said, "de l'au·dace, en·core de l'au·dace, et tou·jours de l'au·dace."
