Prominent Political Consultant Tells Detroit To Shuck Off UAW, Democratic Party

DETROIT (WWJ) Prominent Detroit political consultant Adolph Mongo threw a verbal Molatov cocktail with an open letter in Deadline Detroit today saying it’s time for black people to “tell the UAW and Democratic Party to buzz off.”

In a long opinion piece, he wrote the two stalwarts of African American political life haven’t done enough to help black people, and it may be time to embrace Republicans. “Look at our recent history and the best years in Detroit came under a working relationship between a black mayor, Coleman A. Young, and a white Republican governor, William Milliken,” he wrote.

He’s urging local African Americans not to blindly vote the way they’ve traditionally voted, supporting the UAW and Democrats, and instead make them court their vote with new black leadership.

“If we are not good enough to lead the UAW, or lead the Democratic Party or head the party ticket, why should we support an agenda that is anti-us?” he wrote.

“Black people and Detroit need to run away — not walk, but run,” Mongo told WWJ’s Vickie Thomas. He added the vast majority of Detroiters voted for President Barack Obama, and he “hasn’t been in Detroit since 2008.”

Never one to shy away from controversy, in January Mongo called on Detroit NAACP President Rev. Wendell Anthony to resign over his decision to honor Kid Rock at a dinner. His bone of contention was that Kid Rock, a native metro Detroiter, has been known to fly a Confederate flag, the flag that represented the South in its Civil War fight to preserve slavery.

“Rev. Anthony is making it OK for people like Kid Rock to fly the … confederate flag,” Mongo told Thomas earlier this year. “So, if he was wearing a Nazi flag and, and had it at his concerts, he wouldn’t be at the Palace, he wouldn’t be at none of these venues around the country because promoters would not book him.”

Unfortunately Chairman Young is a primary source of the devastation of today.

What is Deadline Detroit? Does it have broad reach?

Ah, king Coleman, mayor of dee-twoit. The graft and corruption engendered by that man was epic. His political philosophy both started and ended with the phrase “get whitey”. while Coleman Young deserves the credit for serving as a “Tuskeegee airman” during WWII, that can never erase the stench of decay and corruption that he left upon the once great city of Detroit. I hope his chestnuts are burning in hell as we speak.

Does that mean we should protest all American soldiers, since they still fight for the US Flag, which at one time supported the right to own slaves (as a matter of fact, the Generals of the north owned slaves while they were fighting against those evil, NON-SLAVE OWNING Generals of the South)!

These people have no idea what the south is, was, or will ever be...they just parrot every stupid idea that ever came out of some socialist professor at whatever B.S. college they attended! And he probably attended said college, due to the racist affirmative action policies of the United States - which leads me back to my first paragraph!

I would bet dollars to donuts that Mongo couldn’t tell me what the actual “Confederate Flag” looks like!

The Democrat politicians came to Detroit and ate prime rib while they gave the citizens half a can of Spaghetti-Os.

Take the Democrat Party to court. Believe me, they’ll settle out of court fast. The Democrats have dinners that cost $32,000 a plate. A thousand plates from that dinner, and the city retirees in Detroit get paid.

The man undertook a literal purge of free marketeers. Groups of large angry men went from business to business “suggesting” that owners should pay more to support the community because that same community might turn on them if the didn’t.

He was Obama before Obama was Obama.

LOL - here's the translation:

"Democrats and the UAW take us (Detroit) for granted. That makes us sooooo mad. We want to be treated better - courted... So we'll pretend we're looking for a new boyfriend - a Republican... The guy we're trying to make jealous - that old democrat - won't figure out it's a game (to make him want us back) - and the guy we're going to use and dump won't figure it out either... What could go wrong?"

Does this remind anyone of high school?

I remember. I grew up in Livonia and the northern ‘burbs during the late 70’s and early 80’s. Young was the man responsible for the invention of the term “white flight”.

One good thing that’s happening in Detroit is the collapse of black nationalism. Sure there’s still plenty of racism but its not a militant organized thing like it once was.

Even Kwame Kenyatta resigned from the city council and ran off to Jackson Mississippi. When Louis Farrakhan was in Detroit a year back asking for money to rebuild the city, the people pointed to the building the Nation Of Islam themselves abandoned. They’ve also elected the first white mayor in 4 or 5 decades. The GOP has even opened offices in Detroit.

Detroit has a long way to go but things are changing there.

Memphis is Detroit of the south. Same issues due to cozy Union, Dem relationship and now the police union is whining cause the taxpayer can’t fund their arrangement any longer.

Kwame Kenyatta was hired by the black nationalist mayor who recently died in Jackson.
