Then he should immediately have defaulted to the TX Rangers and State Troopers. “Perry call the ball.” “Roger, ah, no ball, no ball.”

La Raza Rick continues to impress the left.

...and Good Hair enthralled FReepers. It must be tough for Perry now...trying to look all concerned without pissing off his illegal alien cheap labor crony capitalist buddies that keep him going for taxpayer funded favors. Wet finger waving is hard work. Have a heart.

lol!

Yes, La Raza Rick is working hard to shed a 14 year reputation of pandering to the ILLEGAL hordes his policies helped create. But he has new friends now. He gained those when he praised Hillary. Conservatives know he is still the loser he has always been.

Could Obama then federalize the Texas NG, and order them away from the border?

No, the Constitution also allows the State to call up the States NG in a crisis bypassing
the POTUS should he not be up to, or willing to perform his Oath of Office or duty.

ALL the talk about Perry not being able to do anything is a LIE!
Remember that the next time you see it posted. It's not true. Perry has
the power to stop this as well, and is not performing the Same oath of office
that the President and every other leader takes!

Obama is not performing his oath of office and like a small spoiled child lighting the house on fire, is giving payback to the Congress for not doing what he is doing now,
Ignoring the will of the people and especially the Constitution.

Only the Congress can authorize Naturalization, the POTUS has no authority to act on his own.

http://www.consource.org/document/roger-sherman-in-the-house-of-representatives-1790-2-3/

Robert Sherman Quote:
Mr. Sherman thought that the interests of the State where the emigrant intended to
reside ought to be consulted, as well as the interests of the General Government.
He presumed it was intended by the Convention, who framed the Constitution, that Congress should
have the power of naturalization, in order to prevent particular States receiving citizens,
and forcing them upon others who would not have received them in any other manner. It was
therefore meant to guard against an improper mode of naturalization1, rather than foreigners
should be received upon easier terms than those adopted by the several States.

Whatever any nut case yells, this is a crisis, one that will destroy our country
and bring it down to third world status. Those INVADERS are also being bussed and brought
to our borders by their own top leaders, President or Dictator.

' This may be an unarmed invasion, but still an invasion. This no longer has anything to do with compassion by us. We must
protect ourselves from destruction.

I suggest that since you know him personally you are biased.

He’s Crony Capitalist RINO.

Since you know him ask him about why the Trans Texas Corridor was set to take Texas land and give it to a Spanish company to build a tollway that would charge Texas to drive on it?

Or Why his friends/family just happen to be employed at companies that are being considered for large contracts? I include Gaurdail in that as well (a relative worked for the company pushing Gardasil).

We can do MUCH BETTER than Perry. Or McCain. Or Romney.

Enough of the Big Government “In Crowd”

I disagree. If Perry were to call up the National Guard and then Obama fought back, Perry would be seen as a hero instead of a wimp.

That's what Obama would do if the tables were turned, and no one would stop him. In fact, isn't that what Obama did.....he's daring those govs to stand up to the border treachery, knowing they're cowards when it comes to real action.

See post #45

Perry and every other state leader has the Authority to bypass POTUS if he is not
performing his duty. In that case there is nothing Obama can do about it.

They ALL know this and are ignoring the safeguards intended to protect our sovereignty.
We are actually being invaded by people who are led by our own elected representatives.

I only met him recently through a friend. Prior to that I held the same views others that are negative about him have posted here. During the last election cycle I was brutal when it came to Perry regarding what I posted here on FR.

I have seen a curious factor at work with people.

I once worked with a guy who absolutely hated Bill Clinton. He railed against him constantly. A few years after he was no longer president, this guy and I were at an office building. The elevator doors opened, and low an behold, Bill Clinton stepped out.

This guy, started sputtering and put on a smiled and introduced himself in a glowing manner, and shoot Bill’s hand.

I stood there shocked.

Some people are “respecters” of persons, that is, they modify the way the act/talk/thin about a person based on their fame.

Note Bill Clinton was still Bill Clinton. What changed was this guy somehow feels he is with the “In” crowd now that he shook hands with Clinton.

I suppose you think Perry has actually changed? Or just your opinion of him?

I think we also lost a lot of Freepers in the 2012 "Not conservative enough" bloodbath. Sad that some get so hateful and attack our would-be candidates with such ferocity that they kill any hope we might have had.

Quite a few came back to show their support for Thad Cochran.

I suppose you think Perry has actually changed? Or just your opinion of him?

I met him through a very wealthy friend. Prior to meeting Perry I was texting this friend one night and had asked him what he was doing. His response was that he was in his jet going to a "debate". I said "what? you are a raging Democrat!". My friend said he had known Perry since college and besides that he had decided it was best that he support Republicans. It was very shocking to me. I was floored because this fellow was a HUGE Democrat. He also happens to be by far the smartest human I have ever met. I have met some pretty bright people and could name names you would recognize. This fellows only flaw was that he was a Democrat. But no more. FYI, I have been around Bill Clinton and he is a used car salesman. A very crafty one.

I have chatted with Rick Perry for a bit one on one and have been around him during various get togethers. His ability to remember peoples names is astounding, including family members of people he just met. One interesting thing about him is his stories on all the stem cell treatments he has had. He has had numerous ones and they helped him a lot. Unfortunately, his back issue was very bad and it is my take he messed up in the debate due to pain medication.

If my MEGA RICH Democrat donor can change Rick Perry certainly can. I'm a big fan of Ronald Reagan and have read a lot about him. He made big changes in his political views so it is possible.

Bottom line? I hated Rick Perry til I met Rick Perry.

Uh, you did know Perry supported Al Gore?

http://content.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2081596,00.html

A man of “two minds” cannot be trusted. Either he was wrong before or he was wrong before.

If you don’t admit you were wrong before, then chances are you are “politically expedient”.

Frankly we have ENOUGH “Rich” dudes and Professional politicians. I think we need new blood instead of “hoping” the good ol’ boys change their heart as often as their underwear.

Bottom line - Rick Perry is a big government smarmy politician. I have been at several public situations where I observed him first hand, and he was always surrounded by a sea of brown nose supplicants.

Stop labeling anyone who doesn't like your candidate, not that I've actually seen one, as a RINO lover. Fact is, people don't come to these forums to hear their candidate called vicious hateful names or to be called names themseves.

Stop with the attacks.
