i don’t think any pd needs to have 350 assault rifles, ever.
how do they justify this. they’ve gotten along all this time without so many evil assault rifles.
i think its time we start disarming internal police forces.

Bill Clinton gave thousands of full auto M-16s to the LAPD.
He later also gave them bayonets.
My first memory of what NM cops used to use was 1955, when a Farmington policeman stopped at our motel for some reason. All us kids gathered around the cruiser to look at all the “neat” things inside.
The policeman opened the door, and strapped to the inside of the door was a rifle scabbard with a lever action 30-30 carbine inside.
