WESTMINSTER, Md. - The Obama administration is eyeing a vacant Army reserve facility in Westminster as a possible shelter for illegal immigrant children, and it's meeting strong opposition from local officials and at least one member of Congress.
Three were no demonstrations yet in Westminster, but the opposition is just as strong as elsewhere in the country. Elected officials in Carroll County vehemently oppose using a vacant Army reserve building on Malcolm Drive to house the children, even temporarily. The Department of Health and Human Services would handle the operation.
"I don't think it's the right place. I don't think it's the right time. The bottom line is the community doesn't want it. The representatives in Congress don't want it the Department of Health and Human Services shouldn't be looking at it," said U.S. Rep. Andy Harris, R-District 1.
Harris said if the Obama administration ignores the local opposition, he's prepared to use his position on the House Appropriations Committee to stop the proposal from going further.
"We have the Health and Human Services Appropriations Bill coming to my subcommittee in two weeks. If necessary, I will put a rider on that bill that doesn't allow it to spend money in Carroll County, not for that kind of center," Harris said.

TX, AZ and CA have had to absorb millions of illegal aliens, being stuck with the bill for the federal government’s dereliction of duty along the border for decades. It’s time the other 47 states find out what a lousy deal this is.
Democrats in particular should have to foot the bill for this current invasion, because it was Obama’s putting out the welcome mat with his DACA order that caused it.
I suggest a couple hundred be moved to the White House.

Every Democrat household with an income of $100,000 should be required to take one in. Every Democrat household with an income of $1 million should be required to adopt two.

And they [Democrats] plan on eliminating two segments of their voting base. To wit: White union members and Blacks. The illegals from South and Central America along with the muslims from Africa will replace them. Both as workers in Government allowed factories and as voters in sham elections.

My office was just notified that the site in Carroll County won't be used by HHS to house unaccompanied minors who have entered our nation illegally. This is the right decision/ Flying them to MD to only turn around and send them back home makes no sense. I'm glad to see that HHS listened to my objections and those of so many local officials.
