I agree. There’s no shortage of places to hold a reception. But they convince themselves they know better than God - at the cost of their souls. They’re like alcoholics - drunk on their own narcissism.

I would say drunk on power. The Gay Fascists are head-over-heels drunk and madly in love with their new-found political power. And they love stomping on people just for the sheer joy of doing so.
As a group, they are a vicious and sadistic mob.
