Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Friday said that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was “curiously blind” to the dangers posed by the terrorist group responsible for the security meltdown in Iraq.

The war of words marks the opening of a new chapter of hostilities between the two lawmakers as they weigh presidential bids in 2016.

In an opinion piece in the Washington Post, Perry said he found it “disheartening” the senator would “suggest that our nation should ignore what’s happening in Iraq.” …

So the “political class” will agree to exacerbating the border problem to make it “go away”. Gotta love their logic.

I am not yet a Perry supporter. However, I fully agree with his comments regarding Paul. Paul, like his idiot father, is a dangerous isolationist. The Rand Paul isolationists are as bad in one direction as the neocons were in another.

We need to have a balance between the extremes of the neocons on one hand, and the Paul’s on the other.

I’m not sure any governor can do much. Federal courts have sided with Obama that immigration is a Federal issue. Sure, they can detain illegals and turn them over to the Feds, who will then let them go with a ticket to show up at an immigration hearing (har, har). And as long as they claim they are from central America they have the right to apply for asylum once they set foot on US territory. But in any case Perry’s gonna have problems with conservatives for suporting the Dream Act.

Perry keeps saying the National Guard should be sent by Pres Obambi...the National guard is under the control of the GOVENOR if he wanted some border help just declare and emergency. We have enough oil revenue to pay the costs.

If someone preaches against Isolationism....they are Globalist...and do not believe in borders

Perry has no intention of securing Texas border...nor removing Illegal Aliens

The opposite of Isolationism and Protectionism are Globalism and Open Borders
