Texas Democrat on CNN: White House Not Happy I Criticized Obama
Mediaite ^ | 13 Jul 2014 | Matt Wilstein

On Wednesday of this past week, Rep. Henry Cuellar revealed to Fox & Friends that he has received some “angry” calls from the White House, pushing back against his criticism of the way President Barack Obama is handling the crisis on the U.S. border with Mexico. The following night, CNN’s Anderson Cooper pushed Cuellar to expand on how exactly the White House expresses its displeasure with him.

“I understand someone from the White House actually called you up, angry that you were criticizing the president publicly. What did they say?” Cooper asked.

“I thought we had a very constructive, positive conversation,” Cuellar said, downplaying the “angry” factor. Though Obama did not choose the visit the border on his trip this week, the congressman said he still hopes he will return and visit it soon. “I’m not asking for anything else, come down to the boarder and just see it for yourself. If it’s not important, then why is he asking us for $3.7 billion of help? And I want to be supportive of the president on that funding.”

Pushing Cuellar to reveal more, Cooper said, “I know you don’t want to say who called you from the White House, but did they yell at you? You said it was constructive dialogue. Clearly, they are not happy at you being on television talking out.”

“I think they are very smart. They are not going to yell at a member of congress who sits on an appropriations committee,” Cuellar answered, perhaps tossing a subtle threat in the Obama administration’s direction. “There was no yelling, there were conversations.”

When you’re a dem, you carry the water. No matter what. Your soul is gone so you have nothing to lose. You either take the talking points given you or, if you’re personally in trouble, create your own and take the heat. NEVER speak against the Kenyan. Freedom of speech is dead.

I think you are suggesting that Dem politicians are just zombies, doing what their masters tell them. They certainly vote that way.

Sounds like someone has received a chastisement from the Royal Court.

They do vote that way... and they do get prior clearance to depart from the plantation as political needs warrant. And, if they get clearance, they also sometimes arrange for the appearance of the White Hut kicking back at the wayward fellow just to make it look real.

From the royal court yes
Also hearing from his constituents from the pretzel shaped district from the border to the massively military active duty and retiree populated San Antonio a town who also elected la Raza Castro now at HUD (appointed WHILE serving as mayor)

Don’t know what cuellar is hearing From the working stiffs (the reasonable) it’s got to be interesting. To him he must be seeing first hand the disconnect the complete lack of ability to represent them

He’s a low level guy I’ll equipped for this crisis. Am sure cornyn and Perry are no help

Henry Cuellar just may find himself being treated by the Democrat Party the same way Tom Tancredo was treated by the Republicrat Party when he did not toe the party line.

Cuellar then just might become a convert to a new party that actually represents Americans instead of each little special interest group that contributes enough cash.

We all know the infighting that is going on in the GOP but at least divergent views, good and bad, are allowed to be expressed. Mr. Cuellar is discovering that any divergent views in the Democratic Party will be met with a rebuke and then retaliation later. The media wants us to think the Dems are centrists but that party is so radical left these days that Joseph McCarthy would have had a field day with that group if he were around today.

Cuellar can’t leave the Democrat Party even if he wished to do so, which he doesn’t, for he would be soundly repudiated by his loyal Democrat voters.

He may have gotten the call, but I don’t believe this junk for a minute. Threat? The Dems know he’s on the “appropriations committee”; they are sending messages to others. They are nothing but a bunch of liars.

In the days of pirates (think of the two current pirate series - Crossbones on NBC and Black Sails on Starz), “boarders” had the terrible job of crossing from one ship to another while the ships were moving and while being shot at. As the political systems are always in a state of flux the current boarders (illegals) are the fodder to be used to capture the great ship called America.

Maybe the author had a Freudian slip and was inviting the illegals in the spirit of the Price Is Right.

Even Taco Hell can spell the word right.
