Amid the recent troubles between Israel and the Palestinians, many Americans and media commentators are drawing disturbing lines of parallelism between the two societies, asserting a false moral equivalency to the actions of each.
In essence, the claim goes like this: “Both sides are fighting each other with similar degrees of violence; both treat each other equally badly; each side is equally to blame for the violence, and they just can’t come together.”
That notion that there is a moral equivalency between the defensive and targeted actions that the rule-of-law-based Israel is compelled to take, and the proactive and indiscriminate actions that hate-based organizations like Hamas takes, is completely unfair, unfounded and infuriating to supporters of Israel—with good reason.
In fact, there is no moral equivalence between the actions and reactions of Israel and Hamas and the Palestinian community to the violence that has occurred. …

Why would the Post give Schumer space to pretend he cares about human rights?
Schumer is a primary leader in the Democrat party—the party that, in their last convention, had a floor that SCREAMED hatred over the very mention of Israel and God.
Schumer stands strongly in a party that is, even now, introducing legislation to destroy religious liberty for business owners....in FACT, Schumer is a primary leader in that effort.
Schumer’s party CELEBRATES the destruction of marriage, as well as the systematic destruction of innocent unborn children.
Schumer’s party works BLATANTLY to create a permanent underclass, which results in defacto SLAVERY to government.
So Schumer has NO MORAL AUTHORITY to boast of his “support” for Israel. He and his party are utter hypocrites.

The Israelis protect their population with rockets fired back at Hamas’ rocket launcher locations to destroy the launchers and through their ‘iron dome” defense system. They just want to stop Hamas’ indiscriminate rocket fire.
On the other hand, Hamas protects their rocket locations with human shields from the Palestinian population. They locate the launchers in schools, apartment buildings, hospitals, etc., so they can get as many casualties as possible to show the world how terrible the Israelis are. They use it to garner support, publicity, sympathy from the world community and, of course, money through donations to their cause.
Remember, Hamas is a terrorist organization, not a state entity like Israel. Their charter calls for the complete annihilation of the state of Israel. Unbelievably, they were elected by the Palestinian people to run the government. Israel just wants to be left alone.
These lefties who side with the “poor” Palestinians and their terrorist government, Hamas, have to twist themselves into pretzels to justify accusing Israel of being the bad guys and the Palestinians of being the victims. Moral equivalency my ass.
