Protesting Democrat Policy is Now a Hate Crime
American Thinker ^ | 7/16/2014 | Andrew Thomas

First, the civil disobedience incident of an outhouse parade float in Nebraska labeled “Obama Presidential Library” is investigated by the US Department of Justice as a potential hate crime.  Now, we hear of a second presumably horrible hate crime, this time in the deep blue state of Maryland.  Per the Carroll County Times:

Maryland State Police have classified anti-immigration graffiti spray painted on the former Army Reserve Center in Westminster as a hate crime.

The graffiti was sprayed sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning, according to Lt. Patrick McCrory, commander of the state police Westminster barracks.  The graffiti said “NO ILLEAGLES [sic] HERE NO UNDOCUMENTED DEMOCRATS.”

[snip]

George Orwell warned us that a ruthless, totalitarian government would use the prosecution of “thought crimes” as a weapon against its people to crush dissent in his book 1984. Welcome to the “fundamentally transformed” America of 2014, where hate crimes are the new thought crimes, i.e. laws that can be used to imprison citizens for expressing ideas that are contrary to the current thinking of the regime in power.

Brought to you by the entire Democrat party and RINOs who would do nothing to stop them. We are being run by ruled by a bureaucracy that was installed by and protected by Democrats. The DOJ can investigate a float in NE but can't be bothered by the crimes at the IRS, VA, FEC and HHS. I'm not sure what will stop this but we are reaching the boiling point.

Hate crime laws were created to criminalize anything a White says or doesn’t say, or does or doesn’t do, and to set free non-Whites who physically assault Whites.

Hate Crime Laws = Affirmative Action with a vengeance.

Crime, whether against property or against persons, always has an element of hate in it. So in essence, ALL crimes are “hate crimes”. The problem is, how is any percentage of the crime committed determined to be attributed to “hate” and “hate alone”?

Applying the element of “hate” to a crime, in addition to the crime itself, is a rationalization and extreme sophistry.

Great link. Thanks.

The myriad rabble rousing Alinsky groups get their traction from the de facto democratic basis of our government.

While the Framers set up divided government in which only the House of Reps was to be popularly derived, today's elected congress is subject to the whims of the loudest and most organized factions.

Almost as bad, presidential elections are moving toward the same destination as the 17th Amendment, mob rule.

Until power is divided once again between the states and the government they helped create, our slide into tyranny is assured.

Our Frankenstein Constitution.

Do you think for one minute they would investigate themselves, they are just as guilty of crimes as the rest?

It is simply amazing how many people have no idea who George Orwell is. Worse yet, the number who have not read his most famous books: 1984 and Animal Farm.

It’s hard to believe that books written in the mid-40’s actually described our government of today......right down to the “telescreen.”

My spouse was “stupefied” to read these books a short while ago and instantly had her eyes opened as to what is happening today.

The books should be mandatory reading in all schools...but dream on.

When Bush was president we were told that we must look at the art behind the how to movie on his assassination. Can’t we look at the art behind this float?

The notion that hatred should be criminalized is a fundamental abridgement of personal freedom. My hatred is my business. If it leads to criminal activity prosecute me for that activity.
Hate laws criminalize thought. It would be as reasonable to criminalize love or faith. Controlling the thoughts of citizens is the final act of tyranny.
This worm is going to turn and when it does those who have been gleefully stomping the personal freedoms of Americans will rue the day they started down this ugly road.

Our New National Anthem:

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall;
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the kings horses
And all the kings men
Couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Exactly what Obama has wanted to happen all along.
What took 200+ years to build, has been destroyed
in 6 short years because America is in a morally weakened state.
Adios, America

I am currently teaching my summer school students 1984. I am one of the few teachers who exposes the students to the similarities between Winston's living in Oceania to our living in the current U.S. I also have them compare and contrast Oceania to Nazi Germany during, and prior to, WWII. None of the other teachers seem capable of making the correlation to do so.

I am trying to do my small part...
