White House Unveils Climate Change Initiatives

MISSOULA, Mont. — President Obama will announce a series of climate change initiatives on Wednesday.

The actions, involving a variety of federal agencies, were among the recommendations of the president’s State, Local and Tribal Leaders Task Force on Climate Preparedness, a group of 26 officials who have worked since November to develop the proposals.

One of the projects involves shoring up the power supply during climate catastrophes, and the Department of Agriculture on Wednesday will award $236.3 million.

The United States Geological Survey and other federal agencies will spend $13.1 million to develop advanced three-dimensional mapping data.

The new initiatives are part of a broader White House push to build support for Mr. Obama’s climate agenda.

Despite the pushback from coal country, Mr. Obama hopes to build political support for the plan by highlighting the local damage that climate change is expected to cause.

If those two are the highlights:

1. “Shoring up the power supply”. $236 million to ‘shore up’ a multi-billion dollar national power grid is laughable (especially since the premise is that some sort of climate disaster has occurred... but could be anywhere in the country). I’m also tempted to ask about the favored fuel for an emergency power supply.

2. 3D mapping data from the USGS? How does that do anything related to (fallacious) climate change??

So who ends up with the money this time?

Apparently you are unaware of the US governments bidding process. It is a highly complex procedure that has taken well over 200 years to develop. But in all can be summed up in a nutshell.

Whoever can kick back the most campaign contributions gets the contract.

The entire federal government, and ALL of its agents, should be arrested where they are found, and charged with armed robbery, along with a multitude of local, state, and yes federal charges involving everything from RICO statutes, to looting, insurrection, treason, currency manipulation, bribery, aiding and abetting foreign powers in an attempt to overthrow the federal government, subversion, violations of multiple constitutional laws, failure to fulfill obligations as required by swearing under oath to uphold the constitution and the laws of the United States, fraud, voter fraud, rigging elections, and.....

Well, if you don't get the idea, then buy a one-way to Venezuela, or mexico, because you would feel right at home in some third world dump lorded over by some socialist crackpot scumbags.
