Mark Warner rallies Virginians against Hobby Lobby ruling (BARF ALERT)
From an email

Breaking: Partisan gridlock blocks Hobby Lobby bill.

Friend,

This afternoon, Republicans in the Senate filibustered the bill that would undo the impacts of the recent Hobby Lobby decision. This bill would have ensured that employers can't stand between a woman and her doctor and protected the rights of all employees to have access to basic health care.

This partisan gridlock is outrageous. We deserve to have a real debate on this bill, and it deserves to have a vote. Nearly 20,000 supporters like you have added their name demanding action. The momentum is with us to fix this.

Today’s filibuster makes one thing very clear -- the stakes are very high in this election, and we can’t take any chances.

Will you pitch in $5 right away to show that we won’t stand for more gridlock?

We can’t afford more obstructionism and your contribution today will send a strong message that people in Virginia want results.

Today’s vote is disappointing, but I will keep working to find solutions and ensure that everyone has equal access to health care.

Contribute today and help us keep the pressure on to undo the impacts of the Hobby Lobby decision.

Thanks,

Mark Contribute

Warner isn’t really rallying anyone against Hobby Lobby here.

He’s exploiting the ruling to make a shameless pitch to send his campaign money.

More evidence that the lies about Hobby Lobby are intentional and designed to motivate the Dem base, little else.

Time to set up “Hobby Lobby” day?

Flood HL like a tsunami in support of the SCOTUS ruling and HL’s rights.

They have all kinds of neat stuff there! Spend a couple of bucks so they can have record earnings for the day, nationwide.

That kind of solidarity will shut up the nattering nabobs of negativity just like it did for Chick-Fil-A.

Money talks, BS walks!

Really? How so? By putting a gun to the employer’s head and forcing him to provide insurance benefits for prenatal infanticide?

Contraceptives are cheaper than a pack of cigarettes, cheaper than a six-pack of beer, cheeper than an eye-liner kit, cheaper than a neck scarf, cheaper than a pair of nylons.

What is the purpose of forcing an employer by threat of force to provide insurance for something so much less expensive than what women typically buy several times a month with their own money?

Interesting. This email reminds me of the emails I get from various Tea Party groups. They beg for money. Need the money RIGHT NOW!!! But they never tell you specifically how the money will be used.

I don't mind donating money to a cause I can relate to. But I won't just throw money into a pit.

If you want to donate money to a good cause, please consider FR.

What would the debate be? Abortions are legal, has that not been made abundantly clear since 1973? Now, there is some resistance to allowing abortions done badly, as concerns Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist convicted of the callous disposal of infants in his practice of providing “services”.

This is only the most egregious of examples. There are any number of abortions being forced upon women who find themselves with an “inconvenient” pregnancy, and the operation is performed on a “therapeutic” basis, or even the instances where the abortifacient was fed to the prospective mother without her knowledge or consent.

Now, why is it in the interests of the Federal government to be dictating ANYTHING in regards to either encouraging or suppressing the birth rate? If there are so few people in this country that we must be importing them wholesale from other countries, would that not be encouragement enough to voluntarily begin increasing our own birth rate?

Which is it, more people in this country, or controlling the numbers that this country may comfortably provide for the ones who are here?

This goes way beyond lack of critical thinking. This borders on totally schizophrenic.

So true. All the Dems are doing it right now. Several emails from various Dems have gone out today.

We won’t back down though. Hobby Lobby was a clear win for social conservatives.

Democrat hypocrisy no no bounds this election cycle. Even if the stupid bill were passed, it would go to the House. Though Reid would not open up the bill for amendments, the House would. That would mean every item in the Obamacare would be up for grabs. There is absolutely no way the Dems want to open up Obamacare for any debate in the House. The House has already shown it would trash the bill completely. So, the Dems did not want it to go to the House. They just wanted a political issue to run the “war on women” meme against the Republicans. Reid now tweets taht teh bill will come up again before the end of they year. Yep, they need to reinforce the “war on women” just before the November votes are cast. Of course, it will fail again!
