Dinesh D'Souza's new book, America, will be No. 2 on the New York Times hardcover non-fiction list on July 27, 2014, in spite of being No. 1 in actual sales on BookScan. It sold about 22,500 books last week. Because of its No. 1 ranking on Book Scan it will be No. 1 on the Wall Street Journal list.

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand will be No. 1, although it sold 1,500 fewer copies than Dinesh's book.

How does this compare to Hillary’s book? Hillary’s book was tanking the last I heard.

Hillary’s sold just shy of 14,000 last week. About 190,000 since its launch.

The Times has its own proprietary “formula” that they use. To the defense of the Times (and this is from someone who knows it manipulates its list), Dinesh’s book wouldn’t have nearly the distribution in independent book stores that the Hillenbrand book has and that can definitely play a factor as the Times weighs independent stores and geographic distribution heavily. It isn’t at all a true best-sellers list.

This is what they say: “New York Times rankings reflect sales at many thousands of venues where a wide range of general interest books are sold nationwide. These include hundreds of independent book retailers; national, regional and local chains; online and newsstands.”

The book sales and movie receipts will help pay Dinesh’s legal fees to defend against charges by henchman Holder.
Amazing how Obummer uses power of government to go after
conservatives.

I believe it’s from book distributors like Baker and Taylor. That was the one they used prior to the creation of Amazon.

The NY Times uses a marxist Ouija board.

The process includes all editor’s hands simultaneously on the planchette.

Hollywood is an intensely political place and there is HUGE pressure to never finance any kind of conservative film, ever.

This genre is emerging —a cottage industry under GayMuzzie, actually— but it’s super important that such books and movies do $$super well because these little companies will end up having to finance their own films, mostly.

I HOPE DINESH MAKES PILE$.

(And I think he i$)

Meanwhile, according to boxoffice mojo, his movie has grossed over $9 million (production budget of $2.5m).
