Breaking: Harry Reid Tied to MASSIVE Bribery Case (VIDEO)
Political Insider ^ | July 17, 2014 | Editor

Posted on 07/17/2014 12:25:45 PM PDT by lbryce

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is a shady operator. From changing the Senate rules which allowed him to increase the tax-raising power of the Senate Democratic majority, ties to shady lobbyists, and numerous scandals in Nevada, it is little wonder how a guy on a relatively modest public servant salary has become obscenely wealthy.

Now, Reid has been linked to a new massive bribery case that had two state attorneys general arrested already.

Utah prosecutors on Tuesday filed criminal charges against two former state attorneys general in a court filing that makes tantalizing references to a possible pay-to-play influence scheme involving U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Utah County District Attorney Sim Gill charged former Attorneys General John Swallow and Mark Shurtleff with numerous felony state crimes, including bribery, acceptance of illegal gifts, evidence tampering and a “pattern of unlawful activity.”

The charges were expected for months, and both men were taken into custody. Mr. Shurtleff served for many years as Utah’s top law enforcement official before retiring in 2013 and was succeeded by Mr. Swallow, who resigned in controversy after just a year. Both are Republicans.

“This is a sad day for Utah,” said Gov. Gary R. Herbert, who said that no matter what happens with the two men in court, it has become “a black eye for our state.”

Both Mr. Shurtleff and Mr. Swallow maintained their innocence, according to The Associated Press and other local news accounts.

“Breaking”?

Is that code for information kept on a small slice of the internet that few people will ever see?

When Harry Reid, or any demonicrat politician for that matter, is finally indicted, tried, convicted, sentenced and hanged for giving aid and comfort to the enemy, he should be left hanging until he rots off the rope, so that people can parade past to piss on his bloated, maggot-infested corpse.

It was true in ‘98, but because he didn’t fit in with the “culture of corruption” story line, since he wasn’t Republican, the MSM ignored it.

follow the link

While the charges are major news in Utah, it was the mention of two senators — Mr. Reid, Nevada Democrat, and Sen. Orrin G. Hatch, Utah Republican — that could reach Washington’s corridors of power.

The documents detail efforts by a federally indicted Utah businessman, Jeremy Johnson, to secure meetings with Mr. Reid and Mr. Hatch, where Mr. Johnson hoped to enlist their help in fighting off an investigation by the Federal Trade Commission.

Swallow and Shurtleff are both mormon.

Could Mormon church excommunicate Shurtleff, Swallow?

"A church disciplinary council is mandatory in cases of murder, incest, child abuse, apostasy, serious transgressions while holding a prominent church position and predatory behavior.

Serious transgressions, which the Handbook defines as "deliberate and major offense[s] against morality," include but are not limited to "attempted murder, forcible rape, sexual abuse, spouse abuse, intentional serious physical injury of others, adultery ... deliberate abandonment of family responsibilities, robbery, burglary, theft, embezzlement, sale of illegal drugs, fraud, perjury and false swearing."

I just hope that this whole matter indelibly tarnishes the Mormon Church Leaders. They are complicit in this by reason of their steadfast support for Reid throughout his sorry-a$$ed “career.” These two clowns are both Mormons. Reid is a Mormon, Hatch is a Mormon. Let the Holy $hit rain down on the church and all of these men.

I think one thing on this is interesting. The other Senator mentioned was not Hatch but Mike Lee. Now we find out that it was really Hatch. Why was Lee originally identified? Was it to keep tea partiers off of the scent of the trail and protect Reid. no one has commented n this yet.?

Totally agree!

Mormons live in their world. They believe they create their own reality. And they think they can impose their world reality on others. To do so, they have to be strong enough to impose their will on others. The alpha male can do no wrong and everyone must follow.

“we know what religion Reid and Hatch are. I’d be willing to bet money that the rest of them are also LDS. Mormon Mafia anyone? There’s crooks in every religion.”

And it looks as though the Mormon Church is an “equal opportunity supporter” of crooks on both sides of the political aisle. I have wondered for many years, how Reid managed to remain a member in good standing, because even a non-member doing a cursory review of Mormon teachings on morality would come away with the hard fact that Reid is an apostate Mormon who should have been excommunicated long ago.
The answer: Money and power! Churches all roll over for either, and Reid has both!

Mormonism isn’t much different that most other “faiths.” They are all driven by membership subjugation, political power, and money (not necessarily in that order). A long time ago, I decided that I didn’t want or need anyone who professed himself (or herself) “exalted enough” to tell me how to live my life, telling me that I wasn’t good enough, while they picked my pocket. You don’t need someone else to intercede between your self and your God.
