HHS shepherds ‘border children’ through the system
Forth Worth Star-Telegram ^ | July 17, 2014 | BY TONY PUGH, McClatchy News

As more unaccompanied children from Central America are caught entering the country illegally, their plight is proving to be both a political and custodial headache for the Obama administration.

The steady flow of Central American children has forced HHS to open three temporary shelters that collectively house about 3,000 youngsters. They include a 1,100-bed facility at Joint Base San Antonio, a military facility in Texas; 600 beds at Naval Base Ventura County-Port Hueneme in California; and 1,200 beds at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.

The shelters have been authorized by the Department of Defense to stay open for four months, with most children staying an average of less than 35 days, according to HHS.

Most of the youngsters, however, are housed through a system of state-licensed, HHS-funded care providers across the country. These facilities provide a range of care options, including foster care, group homes and residential treatment centers. They also provide classroom education, health care, socialization services, vocational training, mental health services and access to legal services.

The children also must receive a list of free legal services in the area where they’re held and access to telephones, according to the law center. By law, the youngsters also must be advised that they can call a parent, a relative or an attorney or a legal assistance organization.

One of the subcontractors is Baptist Child and Family Services of San Antonio, whose CEO Kevin Dinnin met Obama a week ago and suddenly received a $190 million HHS grant (on top of prior grants of about $70 milliopn per year).

More information about operations and huge executive salaries tied to BCFS was revealed yesterday on another thread:

This lavish care of the invaders from the same evil government that shredded the letters of complaint from veterans because it was too much trouble to take care of our warriors. How sickening.

BCFS is a non profit spawned by the devils in government to use for their pet projects.

Most “non-profits” exist primarily to further leftist causes and dodge paying the taxes they wish to raise on everyone else that they deem the evil rich.

Take a look at the PDF of IRS form 990 for BCFS Health and Human Services (EIN 74-1260710) of San Antonio, Texas for the year 2012.

Their CEO is Kevin Dinnin of San Antonio, Texas, who was paid a salary $397,175 plus $50,624 extra compensation for his services in 2012.

Treasurer is Claudia Oliveira, was paid $182,909 + $43,429. Executive Directors include Asennet Segura ($181,895 + $68,370 + $62,510), Kari Tatro ($189,516 + $50,471 + $26,787) and Terri Hipps ($176,267 + $26,002). Additional Directors include Sonya Thompson ($169,018 + $12,436), Denise Grimm ($122,206 + $11,593), Mario Guerra ($167,419 + 19,248) and Jon Bodie ($134,602 + $16,344). Independent Contractors include “Jani King of San Antonio Region” ($101,659),“Roth Staffing Companies” ($206,927), “Centerview Market Place” ($241,735).

(I wonder if these names, or names of persons close to them, also show up on Democratic Party political donor lists?)

Government grants of over $63.3 million are on page 9, and they indicate grants for the prior year were over $70 million! Last week they received another $190 million!

Related Organizations include “Children’s Emergency Relief International” IRS EIN 74-2933669, “BCFS Educational Services” IRS EIN 45-5251954, “Baptist Child and Family Services Foundation” IRS EIN 74-2603561, “BCFS Property Management” IRS EIN 62-1867350, “Baptist Care Facilities for Persons With…” IRS EIN 74-2833616, and “Christian Community Development Corporation” IRS EIN 56-2573060.

All share the same address at 1506 Bexar Crossing, San Antonio TX 78232

BCFS President Kevin Dinnin met with Obama on his most recent Texas visit at Lackland Air Base (where contractors were told to keep their mouths shut about what they saw), so this gang is tied directly the White House.

HHS is responsible for resettlement.  That's the plan.

What was all the hulabaloo democrats made when GWB wanted the government to work with faith based charities???? Didn’t he get bombarded with charges of violating “separation of church and state” which only exists in democrats minds anyway?

Sounds exactly like that’s what’s happening with BCFS!!! Something tells me they are going to wish before this is over that they’d stayed under the radar..

I googled Dinnin’s name and a lot of what comes up have ACCESS DENIED - NOT AUTHORIZED labels. Saw one picture of him and he looked as slippery as Joel Osteen....Probably not a fair assumption but the one I had at first glance anyway.
