ORLANDO – A federal judge has given a secular organization the green light to distribute more atheistic and anti-Christian materials to Florida public school students, in spite of the materials’ graphic content and offensive language.
As previously reported, the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) learned last year that a Christian ministry had made Bibles available to Orlando high school students on “Religious Freedom Day.” To counter the Bible distribution, FFRF sought permission from the school district to give students a variety of atheistic and anti-Christian materials.
According to reports, the Orange County School Board permitted FFRF to distribute several books and pamphlets, including a booklet entitled “What’s Wrong With The Ten Commandments?” and a brochure entitled “What Is An Atheist?” However, the board prohibited FFRF from giving students several other publications, citing the materials’ “disruptive” and inappropriate content.
FFRF promptly sued the school board for not allowing the distribution of the materials. Eventually, the school board complied with the organization’s demands, giving FFRF permission to distribute the previously-prohibited materials. Then, earlier this month, a district judge officially dismissed the FFRF lawsuit, thus giving the green light to the in-school distribution of atheistic materials.

Freedom from religion? How do these pushy idiots think they are going to get freedom from their souls? They carry their souls around with them while they are here. They carry their souls with them when they go.
It used to make mine boil, until I realized that the Lord is in control of everything. No matter what they THINK they are accomplishing, they will have to answer for it. It’s going to be more than eye opening when they hear those dreaded words, “Depart from me you practicer of lawlessness, I never knew you.”
But they are influencing young children. If they want to promote atheism, then Christians can promote Christianity.
The Supreme Court has ruled that for legal purposes, atheism is a religion.

They’re stamping their feet at God like children throwing a tantrum. I believe deep down they know He exists, but they’re railing against that knowledge. They want nothing to do with Him.

But they do not have the right to drag innocent children down with them! I don’t care what they believe or don’t believe any more than I care who has sex with who but they can’t force it on others.
The worst thing Christians in America did was let Madelyn Murray O’Hair force prayer out of schools. One disgusting woman changed America and no one even tried to stop her.
When do the millions of Christians in America stand up and say “enough”?

Not to be hopeless (actually it’s the reverse, for us), but we know the Bible is true, and as we get closer to the end times, this kind of thing is going to be epidemic. But we know how it all comes out.
Did they ever find Madelyn Murray O’Hair’s body? I read her son’s book. He’s a Christian. He described a hellish upbringing by a demonic woman.

If there were no government schools, atheists would send their kids to atheist schools and Christians would send their kids to schools that uphold their worldview.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to have a religious neutral education because such a philosophic state of neutrality can not exist in the mind of any sentient human. For this reason government schools has ALWAYS been a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination and always will be.
SHUT DOWN GOVERNMENT SCHOOLING!

Sounds great to me. Anytime I can get a conversation started with a “hater” there exists the chance that the Spirit might use a word or two of mine and plant a seed. One of the greatest days of my life was when a old atheist friend of mine contacted me out of the blue twenty years after our last meeting, and told me of his repentance, acceptance of Jesus, and salvation. He credited me with getting the process starting, even thought I still think I was the lousiest evangelist possible at that time of my life.
God uses even the worst situations to His Glory. Bring it on.
