BUMP for later. Love VDH! Thanks.
It’ 1979 all over again.
Or perhaps early 1914.
Y’all left out the mess they created in Libya. Egypt. Sudan. Nigeria/North Africa/Boko Haram etc
YEP.
I’d say 1940. Maybe even 1941.
And this next round will make WWII look like a walk in the park. God himself will have to step in before it is over. (See Revelations.)
You’re right. We haven’t seen anything yet.
Some day, historians will count how many
millions were killed, infected, and betrayed
by Obama-the-Undocumented from Indonesia
and his complicit, EXEMPT Congress.
There is a concept in financial services, that goes something like this. If you start out with $100,000 dollars and lose half of it, what percentage do you need to achieve the next year to replace the loss?
50%, 75%, 100%...
Of course it’s 100%. If your funds go down to $50,000 from $100,000, you have to double your $50,000 to get back to where you were. That’s why it’s so hard to recoup money when you lose it.
This concept works along the same lines in global dynamics. The advances, the political capital, the geopolitical footing we attained during and since WWII, was what I would term our peak power.
How much of that power has been squandered or burnt off during the last six years? Half of it?
If so, we will have to earn 100% more credibility than we have now. That is going to be next to impossible to achieve, considering this administration’s track record, and global perceptions regarding the reliability of the United States now and the implications for the future.
Obama has worked his magic. I’m not convinced the U. S. ever returns to it’s pre-Obama status. The most costly aspects, our national debt and a significant portion of our Navy and overall military capacity that has evaporated since January of 2009.
The House could essentially be recessed for all the service to the nation it is providing.
I would have to study if the Senate could act unilaterally absent a functioning House.
Since both bodies must pass something before it can be signed into law (at least my perception), could anything be passed with a Congress at recess?
Obama could rule by executive order, but he’s already doing this and Congress is allowing full funding no matter what. So why even have the House in session?
Oh I get it. The Nobel committee was mistakenly in-serviced to think it was a “Nobel Appease Prize.”
It’s October, 1929!
> Youre right. We havent seen anything yet.
I believe the weaponry that’s been cloaked in secrecy in underground laboratories hidden from the public will soon be revealed and some people are going to be shocked at what they’ve been working on. Probably terrified. It’s not going to be pretty.
Hitler planned to enthrone himself in front of the Victory Column in the Welthauptstadt Germania (the new “World Capital”) upon winning World War II. The fact that Obama and his puppet masters chose that exact spot for his Berlin speech was quite offensive to educated Germans.
“The summer of 2014 will go down in history as the season when America fell apart.”
These events describe the world crumbling; as far as America falling apart, I would point to Obama’s re-election as the best indication of that. He was no longer some token with a funny name who put on the trappings of an American to win the White House; he was openly communist, and his re-election showed more clearly than anything else in our history that two large segments of this country have nothing at all in common. Worse, one of them is reliant on the other for income; workfare and welfare recipients will always vote against those who fund their existence, and when they will they will always push for more funding.
I hope not. In 1979 I was deployed in the Med playing 'Hide & Seek' with Moskva, a Krivak, and two Soviet subs.
I'm too old for that.
