Thanks for the info.

Well, y'all. You know what to do.

Hit 'em where it hurts. In the pocketbook.

I know, I know. You can't live without SportsCenter (actually you can. I'm living proof.) or The Smithsonian Channel (once again, you can. And, once again, I'm living proof.)(Actually, I had no idea there was such a thing as The Smithsonian Channel).

AOL spent $124 billion to buy Time Warner in 2001. That's 6x what Congress funded to rebuild Iraq.

Well, actually that's just the valuation that AOL put on Time Warner stock when the two companies were merged together into a single company to decide how much of the combined company would go to AOL shareholders and how much to Time Warner shareholders. There was never a pile of $124 billion paid to anyone which could be compared to real money spent on Iraq. The only way they could be compared is if the other option was the government nationalizing every bit of Time Warner and then selling it off for that $124 billion. I wonder if the rest of these facts are similarly distorted.

“Strangely it seems we’ve come around to agree with the hard Left on this issue.”

Yes, but I would guess that many on the left would be fine with a few liberal corporate entities owning it all, as long as they got rid of Fox news, and shut down talk radio etc.

It's not good for society for information to be controlled by anyone.

“This sounds really terrible at first read, but is it really that different than any other industry?”

It is the industry that controls public opinion, with everything that entails. Our overlords learned well from the enemies in WWII (the Nazis and Imperial Japan), we have the same media control over us that their citizens with which their citizens were duped. The constant state of class, race, and gender warfare they keep us in prevents any unified response; they don’t want to meet the fate of Louis XVI...

Fox/News Corp has supposedly made an offer to acquire Time Warner for their content holdings.

Then, there are those on the other side who are always vilifying some of the other big media companies.

This would explain why tv and radio content is mostly garbage. Music today is terrible, the magazines are all People magazine type, lacking of content. I would break up these companies ownership.

With so few they can easily pick say a community organizer and make them president and in return get lots of taxpayer money.

The media control what we see, read, hear and in essence, believe. That is different than making a car.

This is the media that presented us with Obama in 2008. The Hummer turned out to be a Hyundai. That’s false advertisement. If Obama were a car he would recalled, and sued. The media should be sued for the thousands of articles that are simply mispresentation/lies about Obama.

I just think knowledge is power. We need to remind people what is going on. We need to pray.

Think about the fact that GE is owned by????

The unHoly Alliance of GE and President Obama.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/beltway/2011/04/08/the-unholy-marriage-of-ge-and-president-obama-at-the-altar-of-industrial-policy/

I have a BIG problem with the fact that Afghan heroin, protected by US troops is flooding our streets. I have no doubt our government is involved. Pure, cheap, dangerous heroin is easier kids to get than beer.

“Just Say No”,’turned into “Legalize it, it’s medicinal”, in Obama’s America. Between the homosexual promotion, drug legalization, and massively overly medicated and vaccinated population, kids these days don’t stand a chance.

While the FDA continues to approve ridiculously addictive opiates, making heroin legalized in Rx form. Opiate overdoses have become the number one killer in accidental deaths in the US, surpassing alcohol, and even CAR ACCIDENTS!

The media silence is deafening, and as far as I’m concerned these are real crimes against humanity.

There's an ap for that.

[I didn't even know the channel existed either until last week I saw an ap for it. It is with a Roku or Plex channel.]

The biggest concentration of power and money is our federal government which controlled by only two parties.

And gays control it all. This is the biggest reason that the gay agenda has made the strides they have.

Goebbels could only have dreamed of having this much control over the media.

“Goebbels could only have dreamed of having this much control over the media.”

Today we have exactly what he had; even the “dissenters” (Fox News) are centrists at best. The scales should have fallen from people’s eyes when they would have Mr. Sharpton as a guest (and addressed him as “reverend”); these “news agencies” are bread & circuses for the masses, and they are colluding to make a lot of money providing just that.

I think you have it backwards. A president with the power to take over GM, put his buddy in as CEO, and jack 90% of bond-holder equity and give it to unions, suggests that a corrupt government can do as it pleases. The companies support the corruption or they get targeted. Show me the historical evidence that proves otherwise.

Not hardly. The govt can takeover any company that crosses it. Think GM.

Absolutely, and govt can takeover any company it pleases. See GM example and tell me otherwise. This is why the left places blame on corporations and some conservatives are misled.

CNN has acquired Allyson Camarota from Fox News. I must sat that she has given CNN a real sense of professionalism.

We will see how fair and balanced she stays. I really enjoyed watching her co-host Don Lemon look like a high school-er.
