First, Howard Dean wanted to ship all Republicans to the Ukraine or Russia. Now, unions and at least one elected official are calling for the GOP’s death. As The Colorado Statesman reports, state Rep. Crisanta Duran marched with a Latino group and the Service Employees International Union as they chanted “Death to the Colorado GOP.”

At a rally on Tuesday in downtown Denver led by the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU, Latino leaders and community groups held a mock funeral procession in which they declared, “Death to the Colorado GOP for killing immigration reform.”

Joining the demonstration was state Rep. Crisanta Duran, D-Denver.

“It is very frustrating that they have not been part of the solution to see comprehensive immigration reform, to actually get it done,” said Duran. [the Peak’s emphasis]

“Such violent rhetoric! My word!”

But that’s how the RATs roll! They view politics as a “death struggle.” Too bad the GOPe doesn’t have the same view of things, because until they do, they will continue to loose ground.

Well, at least she didn’t publish a map with cross hairs over the names of Republican politicians. That would be inciting a climate of hate.

TH\he SEIU is a Marxist oriented organization. Do not dismiss what they say or do as crazy. They mean it and will do it if they can. They are BFF of Obama and his gang.

Seems like just yesterday when the Gabby Gifford shooting was blamed on the violent rhetoric of the GOP.

There’s a tipping point. At the same time Republicans start seeing this as a death struggle the Dems are going to realize that they really should have done disarmament as a first step.

It’s a pothead state now, the GOP probably is dead because of that if nothing else.

The SEIU is one of the most militant unions.

During the Bush re-count .. our FR group here in San Diego was meeting with other groups and we were protesting the SEIU groups.

It got very volatile, and most of the ladies were encouraged to stay home - punches were thrown, etc., and it was not a safe place to be. However, the guys did a great job.

Anytime you have SEIU involved in any protest .. be prepared to get hit, kicked, have stuff thrown at you, etc. These are not nice people.

It’s a pothead state now, the GOP probably is dead because of that if nothing else.

If the CO GOP were to say "Hey, legal marijuana is the will of the Colorado voters, so we're ok with it", then it would probably be a non-issue. But, more likely, because the regular GOP politicians are idiots more often than not, they'll straighten their bow-ties and rant and rave about "potheads" and the like, rather than focusing on the various malfeasances and failed policies of the Democrats, and will thusly forever ingrain into the mushy heads of your average voter the idea that Republicans are big-government, police state finger-waggers.

standing up for the right thing is such a bad thing I guess

They shouldn’t stand against anything, right?

Don’t stand for anything, that’s how you win!
