Immigration is a complex problem. So is the long-term question of how the United States should handle the influx of tens of thousands of children from Central America. Beyond the legal mandates, we owe them basic human decency. On the other hand, to say that they should all simply stay here for good begs big questions about encouraging more children to make this journey, and the rights of all the people abroad who are waiting their turn in line. Unless you believe in open borders, its all thorny. What seems right for an individual child can seem wrong systemwide.
But theres a short-term question thats not hard to answer at all: Where should the 57,000 children who are already here go? The answer is: Every state should be raising its hand and offering to take some of them. This is not a border-state problem. It is not up to Texas and Arizona to carry this load just because theyre the first places the children land. States in the Northeast and the Midwest can take some of these kids too.

1) We should be sealing the border immediately by sending enough troops to do the job.
2) Amend the stupid law that is allowing this in the first place. Unaccompanied children should not be allowed across the border. Amend the anchor baby law to apply only to those born of only US Citizens strictly.
3) Tent city the illegal children asking them where they came from and asking if they want to go home over a weeks time. Send those children who want to go, back to there home countries. For those whom can identify relatives in the states, send them to them. Process the rest.
We must stem the tide lest it flood us out!
My first question is “How many rooms in your home do you have prepared for these little darlings, Emily?”
When will you be ready to accommodate them? Also, we’d like to schedule an HHS, HUD, FDA and CDC visit/inspection of your abode in preparation for their arrival.
MS-13 needs new blood.
