Is Anything Obama's Fault?
American Thinker ^ | 7/23/2014 | Randall Hoven

President Obama blamed the recent influx of unaccompanied children crossing our southern border on violence in Central America. I expected the usual media suspects to support Obama’s narrative, as well as the ever-popular Blame-Bush excuse. I did not expect the usually more rational Wall Street Journal, and specifically Mary Anastasia O’Grady (whom I had admired), to support them.

“Well, I think, Paul, what you have is a combination of factors, both push-and-pull factors. So from Central America, you have lots of crime and violence… the effect of the war on drugs in Central America has created chaos and a breakdown of institutions in Central America… And the pull factors, I think, are, first of all, most important, is an asylum opportunity that children have because of a law passed in 2008 during the Bush administration --”

There they go again: violence in Central America and, of course, Bush. It’s everyone’s fault except Obama’s. (By the way, the 2008 Wilberforce bill was sponsored by a California Democrat and passed in the Senate with “unanimous consent” when Barack Obama was a Senator. Bush signed it after Obama had won the election in November.)

Let’s go to the tape (which I first touched on last week). The US Border Patrol provides the numbers of unaccompanied children apprehended at the border for fiscal years 2009 through June of 2014. The graph below shows the numbers for El Salvador and Guatemala.

No. Nothing. And, it is racist to even pose the question.

The sheer awesome significance of his Outstanding Excellence in the Field of Excellence and the historic racial impact is proof enough that he has no faults.

the old ‘violence as a result of our success in the drug war in Columbia’, is straight from a talking point put forth by the Guatamalan president as part of his insisting on billions of American dollars to implement a ‘mini-marshall’ plan, for 4 central American countries. These countries are too busy being corrupt to do it themselves so they’ve decided American citizens must pay. If the parroting has now begun, expect the “plan” to follow.

What the central American countries want is American dollars. Whether it’s by remittances, USAID increases, home burglaries or American foodsstamps and social security, they don’t care as long as they get their share. And if their American cousins won’t come up with the cash, they’ll just send their criminal populations. And the bleeding hearts sell the labor of our ancestors down the river with a smile as Pelosi talks of baby Jesus and Beck pimps soccer balls.

Our cost right now is about $1,000 per person per day according to congressional testimony. That’s about 8 plane tickets. The solution is simple. Return all illegals.

Jump forward to the year 2050. George Bush and I will both be dead. Malia/Sasha and Chelsie’s baby are fighting it out to see who wins the Democrat nomination. National Healthcare single payer is the law of the land and the economy has been in deep recession for 10 years. The headline in the New York Times reads: George Bush’s failed policies still keeping the GOPe as the minority party.

To hear his worshippers tell it, the only thing of which Obama is guilty is his amazing awesomeness.

There are a lot of similarities in what is happening today with these young OTMs and what was happening with the OTMs in 2006.

Back them, the OTMs had swamped the system and the Border Patrol could not handle the large numbers. Instead, they had to process them, give them order to appear at a latter date for their hearing, then release them. It was called "Catch and Release". And just like today, the OTMs, after crossing the border, would look for an agent to turn themselves in to, knowing that they would be released.

So Bush, wanting to end Catch and Release, asked Congress for more money to handle the problem. He wanted more money for detention facilities, hearing officers, courtrooms, and judges.

But the GOP congress refused and instead increased funding to hire more Border Patrol agents. Then, the following year(2007), congress did increase funding to end Catch and Release.

The following year, 2008, Congress realized that they couldn't hold the young, women, and child OTMs in the same facilities as the men so they passed legislation setting up a different process for them.

Obviously, Obama, having set up special handling for the Dreamers, has contributed to the problem. But the problem is also being driven by Immigration Reform. Because the Prez and Congress were talking about and trying to enact legislation, these illegals surged into the country before the legislation gets passed. The same thing happened back in 2005 and 2006. Bush and Congress were talking immigration reform and the illegals surged in trying to get in before the legislation got passed.

No. Nothing. And, it is racist to even pose the question.

It is even racist for you to presume to articulate the magnificence of Obama's perfection. . .which is, in of itself, a self-evident truth. You see, if men were angels they would not need government, thus, because Obama is an angel, he does not need internal nor external controls. See?

It’s only his fault that folks who believe and try to live according to the Bible are still alive.
