U.S considering Refugee status for Hondurans; NY Times BARF ALERT
The NY Times ^ | 7/25/2014 | FRANCES ROBLES and MICHAEL D. SHEAR

Hoping to stem the recent surge of migrants at the Southwest border, the Obama administration is considering whether to allow hundreds of minors and young adults from Honduras into the United States without making the dangerous trek through Mexico, according to a draft of the proposal.

Two things immediately spring to mind when I read this tripe:

1 - Do the feds really think that going into Honduras and selecting a few hundred to come directly here will DISCOURAGE the current surge? How hard do you think they were laughing when they came up with this "logic"?

2 - Note how they are changing the definition of the word refugee. A refugee USED to be someone fleeing a country in fear of their lives. Is Honduras at war? Are there Honduran youth concentration camps being setup from which they flee? From what I can see, this new definition of refugee is "someone who wants to come to the US".

Ugh....it gets me so aggravated. These statist leftists - and the RINOs that love them - are such trash.

This is sheer insanity.

Let’s let in thousands of gangbangers and wards of the state to deal with.

As usual, the real story is in the comments following the propaganda.

Even the NYT’s liberal readers are outraged by this treasonous/and/or/boneheaded idea.

So will he do it before or after the mid-terms? You know he will do it.

Interesting in that doing so generally requires a finding that people are in danger or are being persecuted in their home country.

Which the Government of Honduras is apparently willing to agree to in this instance.

Hoping to stem the recent surge of migrants at the Southwest border, the Obama administration is . . .

chartering direct flights for them into the United States.

It would be insanity if those proposing it were American partisans but they are not. They are the Moslem president and Democrats who believe that America is the repository of Evil in the world. They are working to further their goals. Turning America into Latin America del Norte would go far to achieve those goals. They are not insane. They are far sighted and vicious enemies.

The feds are going to select the ones to come here? All indications are that they will pick the worst ones—purposely.

It's heartening to read the comments. Occasionally, a goofy lib (e.g., Eleanore1946) spouts the happy-clappy party line about "children." Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of comments sound like they could be Freepers . . . but we know they are not.

Will these people have the balls to remember this in November and beyond?
