U.S. Sen. John McCain says the execution of an Arizona inmate that lasted two hours was torture.

The Republican who represents the conservative state told Politico that he supports capital punishment for certain crimes but felt Wednesday’s execution of Joseph Rudolph Wood was a “bollocks-upped situation.”

The execution has renewed debate about the death penalty. But Arizona lawmakers say the debate is not likely to have an impact on practices in the state. …

Easy solution: Just put a CPAP ventilator on the next execution and charge it to their Obamacare.

You have to realize they progressed in the political system, not private industry.

And other than McLame’s brief stint peddling beer for his Father-in-law, I don’t think either one had a job outside of govt.

According to Michael Schiavo and George Felos (remember them?), death by starvation and dehydration is blissful, even euphoric.

Let’s switch criminals over to that method. Worked for the Nazis, the Soviets, the Communist Chinese...

Is there anything mccain doesn’t have a comment on? That’s right, no comment on his picture taken of him and Isis terrorist.

I would like to see thar women and man whose father and sister she found murder, confront this man.

He is the perfect example of incumbents being protected from a challenger. McCain has a 30% approval rating in Az. I’d shut up for a while if people thought that little of me.

its getting so that drama is no longer involved.

when the state takes a life, its not euthanasia.
it should be done like an execution, not like anesthesia.

A bullet to the head always works. We need to stop “botching” these executions and start getting them over as quickly as possible. A bullet to the brain ALWAYS works. No chance of a “botch” there.

Or one hour chained down in a locked, secure room with the strongest members of the victims’ families given the same weapons that he used in his victims.

If he walks out alive after an hour, a pardon is issued.

Yea but then you get all that gurgling and moaning and blood coming out the ear and nose.
The squishy people witnessing don't want to see all that mess. Just cut their heads off.

My solution? A heavy sedative, and then a heroin overdose.

That's what they did:

"a lethal injection with a combination of the sedative midazolam and the painkiller hydromorphone."

A caller on the Andrew Wilkow show had a good suggestion. Let the condemned chose his choice of death. Hanging, bullet, lethal injection,...

I am starting to doubt every story told about McCain, especially with respect to him being a hero. He seems to me to be another John Kerry.

I guess you've never seen the "Songbird" video in which fellow POWs accuse him of being a traitor and coward, and not a hero. Anytime I post it, I am besieged by FReepers defending this scumbag. I don't get it. I guess they worked on his 2008 campaign.

…excellent thought. I’m tired of people continuing to give him credit and respect for his “service”. Screw that. What he’s done as a senator more than erases any “hero” BS!
