CONSTITUTION-FREE ZONES: Lots of Americans are getting upset about being detained by armed border patrol agents not on the border but miles away from the border. Some push back, sometimes with violent results.

I usually don't post on this, but the Fascists who terrorize regular citizens and let illegal aliens slide must be stopped. There was video. Let's ID these Gestapo and publish their names and locations. They aren't stopping the folks they need to, and using Hitler techniques on the folks who just want to go about their business. CongeressmanPeter King (Fool-NY) is clueless because Stossel interviewed him and the IDIOT says there isn't a problem.

That’s because we don’t have a border anymore.

Liberal fascists are so intelligent.

Islamist terrorist are the problem, but to be politically correct you allow young middle eastern men a free pass on a passenger plane, and strip search a 65 year old white woman, or a four year old.

You stop people that are obviously citizens, but you are not allowed to stop anyone of mexican/spanish descent because that would be racial profiling.

The fascists that do this are liberals. A real American would not do such a thing.

After a visit to my grandmother's homeland, Romania, back in the '70s, I returned through Yugoslavia. As we left Romania, we had to walk with our luggage a mile from the train station to the border, since there was no direct transportation. As we were passing through a field, I stopped to take a picture of my wife carrying her luggage among the hay bales.

A local noticed us with a camera, and warned that it was forbidden to take a photograph within a mile of the border.

"Funny" how our country has come to resemble a Communist, totalitarian state.

You sound as deluded as the purged communists who went to their deaths shouting, "Wait until Comrade Stalin hears about this!"

If the 21st Century has taught us anything, it's that contempt for The Constitution is the one thing that unites both parties. Pre-2009 the 2nd Amendment was the only thing that mattered to most FReepers. The rest of the Bill of Rights were those sissy liberal amendments. And they certainly were no impediment to the Bushies.

And if we get a new GOP POTUS in 2016 and he picks a Giuliani for DOJ, some of you will revert to your contempt for liberty and love of the police state.

If some of these thugs were to get shot, this crap might be re-evaluated.

Years ago I found myself in a gas station, waiting in line to pay for my purchase. A farm labor truck was there also, and a couple dozen Hispanic laborers were also in line. I was the lone Anglo in the middle. An immigration officer walked up to me and started speaking to me in Spanish. I said What? and he said Where were you born?

I figured he must have been new at the job.

Don’t think so ace. A real American would know the Constitution and would not participate in fascist actions.

To say I am “deluded” when you do not know me is ludicrous.

I did not support Bush and his actions in many cases. Obama has embraced Bush’s shortcomings and enlarged upon the lawlessness that has been in the executive branch. The judicial branch and congressional branch has fared no better.

Sorry, I do not view most residents to be “real Americans”.

To infer that I have contempt for liberty and love of a police state is a ridiculous assumption on your part.

You sure know how to win friends and influence people. Ideologically, I would probably on your side.

However, your manners suck.

LOL Just like when the game warden walks past about 20 Hispanics fishing on his way to ask to see my fishing license. I was also on a boat just off shore. I told him I would show him my license after he checked all of theirs first. He just bid me a good day and left. The laws don’t apply to protected classes.

Well, good for you. Your post sounded like only liberals spit on the Constitution. I'm glad you're awake. But, it's too late. We live in a post-Constitutional empire.

I'll bet each of these border nazis started out and consider themselves good people, good Christians....

you see what happens when the govt bribes these people with power and a good paycheck and better pension?....they get to act like cowboys....

do not believe that our military, our cops, our firemen, or border agents etc will go against their paychecks ....they will not.....

A in-law relative of mine with part Italian ancestry was coming back from Mexico some years ago ... Blcak hair - olive complexion. Asked something by the border patrol in Spanish. He said, “What did you say?” The now red-faced officer said, “Where were you born?”. In an annoyed tone he answered, “MONTANA!”. The guy looked down and waved him through without comment... Uncle Joe wouldn’t have it so easy today.

I’ve had similar experiences.
In April of 1982 I returned from Hawaii. My Harley had an Hawaiian license plate. I had a handlebar mustache and short beard. After three years in Hawaii I had a heavy tan. When I left California on I-10 I encountered what looked like an international border, it was an agricultural inspection station. I was motioned to the side of the highway. I had to open my saddle bags for inspection. A local cop and Border Patrol agent pulled up and I was asked for my green card several times in both Spanish and English. I had no idea what it was. By this time I was getting frustrated and they must have thought I was uncooperative. I finally showed them my active army ID card. The whole thing took about half an hour.
Before making it to Virginia several store clerks and cops would address me in Spanish. Heavy tans in April weren’t common.

IT was strange watching that show knowing how we are being overrun at the border but agents are hot to harass Americans, perhaps since they know they can do nothing against illegals that are caught.

...Romania, back in the '70s, I returned through Yugoslavia....

I am sure you heard similar stories: I knew a young woman from Romania who came to America when she was about 13 years old. She made a trip to the supermarket with her younger brother and both were amazed at the site - large open area full of shelves, well lit, all shelves stocked full, and the colors of the rainbow, never seen anything like it. These are the words she used to describe their discovery of capitalism. LOL

You may be onto something, but Stossel featured it, so let’s see if any congresscritter picks it up. We know that on this issue King isn’t worth a s**t.

When we left for Romania (this was 1978), we had failed to stock up on film, but we figured you could buy those little yellow boxes anywhere. When we arrived there, of course, there were none. The only film we could buy was some grainy East German black and white stuff.

Fortunately we had our Polaroid with us and a few packs of film for that. The Romanian people we met, including my relatives, had never had a color photo of their kids. They were happy to finally receive one.

The border patrol posts often an hour or so north of the border are a joke.
They basically just ask you if your a U.S. Citizen not that any self-respecting illegal alien would bother going thou one, much less tell the truth if they did.
