Rep. Steve Scalise, the incoming House Majority Whip, said Sunday he will stay in Washington until Congress agrees to an emergency spending plan for the border-immigration crisis, but declined to say whether he will cancel the lower chambers August recess.
Im going to stay until its done, said Scalise, R-La., the Tea Party-backed lawmaker who in June became the No. 3 Republican in the GOP-led House after Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost his re-election bid.

Out with the old and in with the, uh old.
Usually the Rs don’t have any strategy and I’m viewing this through that lense.
Not sure what to make of this.
Seal the boarder. Send them back.
How ‘bout this for a “plan”. Send all of the illegal alien invaders home, seal the border and ENFORCE THE LAWS WE ALREADY HAVE ON THE BOOKS!!! It sounds “old school” but it works!
Go home Steve, see what people want, not, self serving politicians.
So far, every time this happens we end up screwed. Then they take off for home for a while to avoid the backlash.
There is the bill the neo-communists will tie amnesty too.
Scalise said House Republicans want to keep the government funded at current levels.
And if the amnesty is not included little bammy will refuse the full funding bill, the "deadline" will be exceed and out will come the barry-cades at all the National Parks and open air monuments.
It will, of course, be the "fault" of the evil white cracker Republicans.
Sounds like another liberal Republican traitor. And the Tea Party endorsed him? Who is vetting these clowns for the Tea Party?
Just give the money to Rick Perry and let him handle it. Giving more money to Barack Obama to throw away is insane. He will just use it to house more and more of these illegal teens all over the country.
this clown guy is not tea party.
That is a Fox leftist news spin.
He cleaned out all the anti amnesty leadership.
He is a traitor and pro amnesty and pure K street !
The article calls him a fraud and a snake in the grass !,
I believe this guy was a Tea Party man. That is what happens. We elect good men who cease to be good men about five minutes after they first sit in their offices in Washington. It takes that long to find out that if you play the game properly and lose your next election you will still be an extremely wealthy man for the rest of your life. If you hold to your principles you will be limited to your salary and to your own investments. And you will have the Political Establishment including the Republican Party working against your re-election.
We seem to be fighting a losing battle. The distractions and wolves in sheeple clothing are to numerous.
Well that explains this...
I was checking him out and he looks OK on paper but I saw no mention of TEA Party endorsement anywhere (except for one of his opponents).
Looks like FOX is trying to tie “TEA Party” to potential RINO.
Don’t know about this guy. I have been stuffed up quite a bit by pubbie betrayls so... I hope they are in DC for the next 100 years trying to pass amnesty or anything else that rewards illegal aliens.
The Nutcase in the White House hates Laws ,he loves Regulations
Bought and paid for by the Chamber of Commerce.
Anyone still doubt that it’s us against Uniparty?
It does seem that those candidates who in a true and winning way convey the constitutional conservative message ARE NOT endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce.
It might be time to refuse to support anyone who is.
“Scalise said House Republicans want to keep the government funded at current levels.”
A Republican majority in the House and they “want to keep goverment funded at current levels.”
Hundreds of billions of debt per year is swell with them. This doesn’t make me feel good about how they may come down on immigration, either.
These MOEY SUCKERS that get on WELFARE and get $35,000.00 worth of FREE STUFF a year are NOTHING BUT WELFARE QUEENS!!
In 1981 I was working for the welfare dept here? I worked in food stamps and then MediCal. My first question when I had an immigrant apply was......what about their sponsor and the fact that they sign papers saying they won’t use our welfare system? Oh, we don’t enforce that, process them.
If you think that’s the answer..........
