Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday asked Benjamin Netanyahu whether he was worried about "a third intifada." The Israeli prime minister replied that Hamas "wants to pile up" Gazan casualties in hope of instigating an uprising. In other words, he ducked the heart of the question.
Netanyahu should be worried. The Israeli public should be worried. All supporters of the Jewish state should be worriednot only about the prospect of current events spiraling out of control, but also about a confluence of demographic and social trends that threaten Israel's ability to manage the war of perceptions.

National (Communist) Journal? Seriously?
Best solution is total War against Hamas and the annihilation of the problem.
Well, even as the saying goes, a “broken clock is right twice a day!”
Ron Fournier-former Washington bureau chief for the AP.
Anything he writes is propaganda.
You got it.
Let HAMAS do the same NOW!
This isn’t one of those times, I think. Hatred to Israel is increasing, I believe. Om the other hand the country has not been so unified and optimistic, and willing to do what needs to be done, as it is now.
The first step in projecting a strong and positive image is that you have to have a strong and positive self-image. Israel has that self-image today. Once it addresses the acute problem of hamas terrorists and their bombs and terror tunnels, it can turn its attention to this secondary issue.
The problem is that, this time, America may side with the rampaging Islamic horde.
That is why Israel NEEDS to clean out the rats nest bigtime!
The leadership, but not the Americans.
This writer’s bringing poll numbers to a tank fight.
Ron Fournier issues a threat to Israel. I’m sure they will be very worried.
I wonder how this shill was even able to type his story while shaking his poms pomas and jumping up and down.
Yes, the government, not the people. But our military and our government are both directly controlled by the same man, so the question of which side he takes will determine who we bomb or don’t bomb.
After the destruction of the Aswan High Dam and the massive EMP attack over Iran, Israel’s enemies will have too much on their plate worrying about how to feed themselves to be able to wage war any longer.
MEDIA CODE PHRASE ALERT
Translation: things aren't going in the direction the media, including the writer, would like.
Good point.
Fournier was on the John Bachelor show recently where he represented himself as a “call em as he sees them” straight down the middle kinda guy. Hilarious.
It needs to clean out Gaza now because it turns out that for at least tje past five years, and possibly 20, Hamas has been planning to commit the largest terrorist atrocity in Israel’s history. They were going to use their tunnels on Rosh haShana, one of the holiest days of the Jewish calendar, and take over 6 or so communities in southern Israel. They were going to kill people in those comminities and also take hostages into the tunnels with them. This was going to be the basis for a large-scale assault on the entire nation of Israel.
About 87 percent of Israel stands behind the operation and would like to see it expanded. It would take enormous pressure for Israel to leave before it is done.
