WASHINGTON (AP) — Even as they grapple with an immigration crisis at the border, White House officials are making plans to act before November's mid-term elections to grant work permits to potentially millions of immigrants who are in this country illegally, allowing them to stay in the United States without threat of deportation, according to advocates and lawmakers in touch with the administration.
Such a large-scale move on immigration could scramble election-year politics and lead some conservative Republicans to push for impeachment proceedings against President Barack Obama, a prospect White House officials have openly discussed.
Yet there's little sign that the urgent humanitarian situation in South Texas, where unaccompanied minors have been showing up by the tens of thousands from Central America, has impeded Obama from making plans to address some portion of the 11.5 million immigrants now in this country illegally. Obama announced late last month that congressional efforts to remake the nation's dysfunctional immigration system were dead and he would proceed on his own authority to fix the system where he could.
Since then he's asked Congress for $3.7 billion to deal with the crisis of unaccompanied youths, a request that's gone unmet even as the House and the Senate scramble to see if they can vote on some solution to the crisis this week before adjourning for their annual August recess.

The press once again leading on the reader. Sneaking into the country IS NOT IMMIGRATION! It is INVASION. So the proper way to write this is "Obama mulls large-scale move on foreign invasion" or better yet "Obama mulls large-scale assistance to foreign invasion of the United states".
The end goal of Obama has been to punish the United States.
Some of us knew that from day #1.
Many Americans, indeed I even think many many DEMOCRATS (the grass roots, older ones and middle class ones—not the academes and young thugs) are seeing this is the truth.
We need to not be nasty or smug about this. The coming destruction may be a wake up call for MILLIONS of people.
Let this be our opportunity to educate, embrace, and edify our friends, family and neighbors who are going to be angry as hell about Obama’s actions. DO NOT “shove it in their face”—such an action WILL NOT turn them into advocates for truth.
Instead, do your best to show them the Constitution, and be Christ like in your demeanor...firm on the truth, but kind to those who realize they’ve done the wrong thing.
Hang in there, folks, it is gonna get rocky. God isn’t surprised. He will be there.

It’s a bizarre, collective delusion.
The media has been to the far left since forever, but it’s hard to imagine that even an old crank like Cronkite would have turned a blind eye to the brazen lawlessness and treason.
What’s really in it for the see-no-evil media? I suppose they readily sold their souls for multi million $ contracts, figuring that they would then be financially immune and isolated from the inevitable chaos and destruction. Lies for the masses means high living for the @sses.
You know how easy it would be to walk into Mexico and possibly, maybe by accident, derail a train or two, maybe ones with folks on top? That porous border stuff works both ways. Course I would never advocate or encourage such a thing. Just mulling things over.....

No: if you break laws, you “deserve” punishment, and if you invade a country, you deserve to be repelled.
