The Obama administration is calling on Congress to fully repeal the war authorization in Iraq to ensure that no U.S. troops return to the country, which is under siege by the extremist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS).
White House national security adviser Susan Rice petitioned Speaker of the House John Boehner (R., Ohio) in a letter Friday to completely repeal the war authorization, officially known as the Authorization for Use of Military Force in Iraq, or AUMF.

...but he wants to let the Kurds hang out to dry.

He wants to make sure if the next President is Republican he can’t go stop the Muslim Brother - er, ISIS.
Sounds to me as if they want to insure that no future administrations use the military to undo what Obama has orchestrated in Iraq.
Bush admin. victory was reversed by Obama admin. and now they want to make sure it stays that way.
This would give 0bozo an excuse to do nothing (not that he needs one).

We should want out. Let the animals fight. We should set up grandstands in Kuwait to watch.

We should wait until the Iranians are dropping nukes on their neighbors. We should wait until the Saudis come begging. Who are they going to ask? The Russians?

The incompetent bozo Obama simply wants to be ABSOLVED of ANY responsibility (”...my hands were tied by the Republican Congress...it’s not MY fault) for anything that will go wrong in the future in Iraq and/or its neighbors.
Screw Obama and the DemocRATS. They (and their Muslim Brotherhood & ISIL partners) simply would tout any such repeal as a surrender to the Caliphate. Don’t repeal the Authorization—let Obama and his ‘RATS continue to own the ongoing collapse that they engineered in the Mid East.

It seems to me that Obama is terrified of being a real war leader. He scuttled away when it looked liked Iran dissidents might topple their leaders and, having no plan, he ran like a little boy from his "red line" promise in Syria.

Yep - easy enough to just do nothing - they want to constrain for when ISIS takes over the whole country - no sense in disturbing the terrorists farm camp.
It’s a trap. They repeal it and then the media makes it impossible to ever pass another one. Think about what the NYT and other media would scream if they even thought about passing another authorization for Iraq.
We don’t want to go back. Unless we keep their oil. 38,000 US casualties. I trillion dollars? For what? So Sunnis can kill Shiites? Nope. No Mas.
